The air fell silent for a second, then two seconds.
Wen Xian sat back down, head lowered as she stuffed food into her mouth, fiercely biting down as she muttered ambiguously, “Pretend I didn’t say anything.”
The little deer in her heart was so agitated that it seemed to have developed epilepsy.
Was he toying with her, or was she being too forward, too vulgar?
Wen Xian fumed with her head down, her mouth stuffed so full that her cheeks bulged like a little squirrel, looking incredibly amusing.

He lowered his head, continuing to eat.

After they had nearly finished eating, they cleaned up the dishes and went to the kitchen.
