The tea room was scented with incense, which gradually calmed the mind.
Wen Xian liked to drink raw Pu’er tea. After warming the cup, she brewed the tea, filtered out the first infusion’s impurities, added water a second time, and the freshly poured tea in the celadon cup was clear and bright, with a fragrance that hit the senses.
She pushed it toward Li Zaijun sitting in front of her and comforted her in a deep voice:
