Right behind her, not far away, Ruan Yiyi stood with her hair loose, watching her.
In her gaze, it was unclear what was hidden.
Clearly, she had come to find her because Lu Xiao wasn’t around.
Ruan Yiyi looked at her and smiled faintly.
Wen Xian glanced at the nearby photographer and assistant, then, after a moment, walked over.
After all, it was broad daylight. What could Ruan Yiyi possibly do?
Wen Xian approached and swept a glance at the back of her hand, “Is there something wrong?”
Ruan Yiyi looked at her, her eyes twinkling faintly, and raised the back of her hand that had been injured earlier, smiling, “Were you worried about me?”
Upon hearing this, Wen Xian frowned.
Before, unaware of her feelings, she hadn’t thought much of it, but now that she knew, these words sounded more and more off.
Her gaze shifted away, devoid of any emotion, she said:
“I told you it was voluntary. I didn’t ask for your help; don’t flatter yourself thinking I would worry about you.”
Her words were very cold and quite ruthless.
Especially since she hated herself for even comparing their figures in the dressing room.
But when she finished, she thought Ruan Yiyi would get angry or change her expression.
Unexpectedly, she just smiled faintly, then slowly stepped forward, standing in front of her, staring intently at her, and suddenly said:
“Do you know everything?”
Wen Xian was taken aback inside.
She looked at her somewhat bewildered.
Ruan Yiyi: “Didn’t Lu Xiao tell you?”
This made Wen Xian vaguely guess what she meant, but she avoided eye contact, coolly saying:
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about.”
She didn’t believe she could explain it clearly.
Yet, she never expected Ruan Yiyi to just look at her and say:
Her tone was gentle, almost casual, but her gaze was deeply set on her.
Wen Xian’s body stiffened.
She almost thought she had heard wrong.
But being a well-versed celebrity, she chuckled lightly and looked at her:
“You should also know that I’m a big star, right? Lots of people like me, from toddlers to octogenarians, they all really like me, so…”
With this, a hint of sarcasm formed at the edge of her lips: “…what are you? ”
She spat out each word sharply.
The gentle smile on Ruan Yiyi’s face slowly faded away.
She looked at Wen Xian, the darkness in her eyes gradually deepening.
“Wen Xian, you know I’m not talking about that kind of liking.”
She stared at her, took a deep breath, her fists involuntarily clenched.
“Is this what you came to tell me?”
Seeing Ruan Yiyi shift the topic, her eyes flickered briefly, but eventually, she diverted her gaze and slowly said:
“No, actually I came to give you something.”
Speaking, she opened her palm, handing her a little crystal ball with a small whale in it:
“I stumbled upon this at a local stall on the island. The moment I saw it … I wanted to give it to you, also hoping you wouldn’t feel sad about that stranded whale anymore. Many things are beyond our control.”
