Chapter 15 - Blacksmithing In Soul Realm
Rolan needed to prepare for the worst. And so, he made his preparations. He looted the rusty weapons and armor of the goblins and then put them in the blacksmith tent.
With his new plan, he created a realm for 3 Production Buildings. With that he prepared a huge mana to create them.
"Solomon, Create Soul Realm."

He saw the blacksmith tent being empty and had no blacksmith in it.
[Blacksmith tent was detected]

"Yes!" Roan shouted.
"Create clones from slime and make a production team,"
[Affirmative]

It was then, Rolan used the Skill Devour and Devoured the Blacksmith tent. With it, they were inside his soul realm and were all seeing mist.
The Blacksmith tent was on its center and the slimes were starting to heat the furnace. They were still clumsy but with Rolan's guidance, they will become experts on par with him.
They breathed steamy air as the temperature inside was low and had moist from the fog. Rolan clasped his hands and rubbed them against each other to heat himself and breathed warm air on his palms.
"Nice! Let's get started!" Rolan shouted.

He then saw a list of materials on the table of the blacksmith. Maybe it was the personal list of the past owner.

He went inside the tent and saw the blacksmithing tools. The essential tools were forge, hammers, anvil, tongs, chisels, and vises. The supplemental tools were drifts, punches, wire brushes, swages, and twisting tools. The safety tools were an apron, heat resistant gloves, and safety glasses.
The tent was cold and without heat to feel. He grabbed the hammer and placed it on the table. Putting on the safety equipment then started working.
He salvaged the rusty weapons and armor and then harvested iron and leather materials. Dismantling the items and then placing them to the side. Or so he smelted the irons and steels. Several weapons were chipped or broken. Others have cracks and others were cut off.
Other armors were bent and dented while others had cracks. Rusty and chipped, while others have holes.
Rolan hammered them to compress them and then will get melted soon after. He immediately put them in a pile while classifying them. Making the tent to sound with hammerings of iron. Slimes were also observing and helping on classifying.
He then rested a bit for the moment and wiped his sweat.
As for his weapon, it was dual short swords. The place he would delve into was a cave and longswords would be a disadvantage. Short weapons like daggers and short swords would be the ideal weapons for small places like their caves.
As for his armor, it was a light armor. Light and easy to move and having low restrictions on the movements. Perfect for the mission that he would delve into. Also has good and decent protection with leather to protect where the plated metal can't protect.
He immediately started to put embers in the furnace to heat it using his flintstone.
The furnace then was starting to burn and he fanned it with the blower. Blowing it up until it was radiating with heat.
He immediately started his work. With the clay formed on a forging base, he made a set of short swords for his future weapon. He made a hole in the clay forge for the liquid metal to enter. Also made a set of light armor for the upcoming battle.
He heated the furnace and put the smelter on the embers inside. He salvaged the metals of the iron weapons and put them in the smelter. Making the metal melt and then became liquid. Using the tongs, he poured the hot metal on the forging base made of clay.
After several minutes, he saw that the blade was now forged. He then made the grip made of hardwood and then put it in the side.
Now it was time to make the pommel and the guard. Rolan just made it simple and practical. His blacksmithing skill was still level 1 and so he can only make simple ones.
And so he made the forging clay for the hand guard and pommel. He put the salvaged metal on the smelter and then fanned the blower. Making it slowly melt in the process. After waiting for it to get melted, he was drinking water to replenish his thirst. Steadily blowing the blower for the heat to get hotter.
Using the tongs, he opened the furnace and then clamped the smelter. He then poured the hot metal on the clay forge and then let it get cold.
After finishing up, he used the tongs to heat the blade and hammer it. Making it more compact and compressed. Putting it then ice-cold water.
This technique makes the metal hard but brittle in the process. While the other technique was to let it cool slowly. Making it flexible and malleable.
After finishing with the blade, he assembled the sword. Putting the grip and guard then the pommel. Making one short sword in the process.
Repeating the same process. Fanning the fire and smelting the iron, he put it into the clay mold and made two short swords in the process.
After forming the sword, he sat on the whetstone grinder and made it sharp. The sound of metal grinding then reverberated inside the blacksmith tent.
Testing it out if sharp enough, he cut the dummy on the side with just a slash.
Swish!
The half of the dummy was cut. Making him smile in content.
As for the full set of light armor. He made thick metal sheets from the clay forge and molded them on the anvil into their desired shapes. Expending all the smelted irons from the goblins. Putting leather on the armor and then assembling the plated iron on it. He made 1 set of light iron armor in the process.

After making the weapons and armor, he equipped the light armor and the dual short swords. He then went to see his inventory.
