Sir Laughsalot spoke. From start to finish, his eyes were focused on Zerina as ogled at her cleavage and marvellous, alluring body.
The latter felt quite disgusted; however, given the status of the other party, she held back from doing anything rash.
"It’s alright, we don’t need anything. Let’s start our discussion".
Reinhardt steered the conversation back to the topic. However, Sir laughsalot as if determined to win over Zerina, ordered his knights to bring over some tea and snacks.
"Please, please... enjoy these humble offerings. As you can see, there is nothing much here in these parts of the land for amusement. I can only arrange for such small gifts," he insisted that they have some tea before talking.
Zerina and the other holy knights did not directly drink the tea and looked at Reinhardt first. It was only seeing him drink that they also took their tea.
"It’s quite delicious, please tell this to the person who made it".
"Ahah, please, please... I’ll relay it."
His eyes looked at Zerina, who refused to comment or even glance at him.
"Now then, let us discuss the important matter. As I have already informed you through my report, our destination is the tainted lands beyond the Cliff’s End. I would have preferred to pass through here directly"...
"However, my knights have been travelling for days and are quite weary from the travel. A good night’s sleep on the bed would remove all their exhaustion. As such, I would like to impose on Sir Laughsalot for one day. We will be heading out at the crack of dawn the next day," Reinhardt informed of his plans.
Laughsalot thought that he kept his intentions suppressed,but it was glaringly obvious that he was planning something.
"Please, please... this is no imposition, the order of the Temple of Light is one of the Seven Great Knight Orders, led by none other than Sir Reinhardt, one of the three heroes of our Kingdom. If it’s for you, I am even willing to let my knights sleep outside. Ah, since you will be staying tonight, let me act like a proper host and prepare a sumptuous dinner for all of your knights".
The latter ordered his subordinates to prepare meals and rations for their journey despite Reinhardt’s adamant refusal. And so, the members of the Order of the Temple of Light were forced to have dinner with the stronghold’s knights, something that they never asked for.
"Our movements are restricted," Bob spoke in a voice that only the three people next to him could hear. Laughsalot was gone; however, they were told to stay at his office. As a precaution, he also left his level 7 knights here.
"He knows that we are the greatest problem in whatever scheme he is cooking, and he doesn’t want us to see what he is up to," Zerina commented in a slightly disgruntled tone. The other person’s blatant lust made her extremely murderous.
"Don’t worry, he won’t go too overboard since we are on an official mission from the crown. However, it doesn’t mean that we can let our guards down. Since he is so insistent on the dinner, he is definitely planning to do something with it."
Reinhardt surmised. He then looked at the knights standing guard and unleashed his aura. BOOM... as if a divine existence opened his eyes, his aura collided against the fabric of space, causing cracks to appear in it.
Not only that, the entire fortress shook for a second, and as for the knights standing guard, they were knocked unconscious, frothing at the mouth.
Reinhardt’s aura was so powerful that these level 7 knights could not even remain standing in front of him.
Of course, they weren’t comparable to true knights who trained their bodies to inhumane limits and mastered the state of transcendence. These were just high level knights who relied on their physical stats and skills to rise up to the level that they were. In actual combat, any of his level 6 knights could easily best them.
Now was the chance, with these knights meant to keep watch on them down, Reinhardt stood from his seat and activated one of his skills.
"[Divine Beast Summoning] Mid Tier— Come forth, Eidolon Seraphi."
At his command, a three meter summoning circle appeared on the ground and shone with a light. After a while, out of it came a few centimetre long, pale white snake with opal eyes and golden wings sprouting from its back.
Despite its mysterious and divine appearance, the beast was simply too cute to the point where it appeared almost harmless.
"Eidolon, split yourself and latch onto all the members of the temple of light".
Kyu~ Kyu~ the serpent nodded its adorable head and started splitting. For a second there, she looked like an extremely tiny hydra, but with thousands of heads.
Just like ordered, Eidolon split itself and slithered towards all the members of the Temple of Light. When it slithered out of the room of the fortress, through the door, window, cracks and ceiling, it camouflaged itself to the color of the environment, appearing imperceptible even to the senses of a knight.
"Whoa" A few slipped into the clothes of the Zerina and the other holy knights.
Kyu~ Kyu~, one of Eidolon’s clones, peeked its head from the panther woman’s voluptuous cleavage, causing her to stifle a moan.
"Commander, what are these things?" Bob asked, one of the Eidolon peeking its head from the holes of his pauldrons.
"They are a part of Eidolon the Seraphi, and it’s a she, so be gentle to her".
"O-Oh".
"Don’t worry, she won’t harm you, or rather, she can’t. Eidolon does not possess any offensive ability. She is a support type divine beast and possesses the ability to split her body apart into innumerable clones, each a cell of Eidolon and connected to her. However, her greatest use is like this".
Reinhardt explained and whispered into the ears of the original Eidolon sitting on his shoulder. At the same moment, his voice transmitted from the Eidolon clones, reached everyone’s ears.
