No matter how beautiful a woman was, they cannot sway the [Unyielding Spirit] of the Divine Paladin. The only reason he was affected before was because the disparity in her current and previous beauty was so great that Reinhardt was taken aback.
Unable to hold her excitement back, Eleanor ran into her room only to come back looking absolutely flabbergasted.
"It’s healed, it’s really healed!!" She muttered absentmindedly. The next second, she quickly hugged Reinhardt, pressing herself tightly against his body.
Usually, he liked the company of girls, especially when they were squishing their soft parts on him. However, he was not enjoying the situation right now so much. Yes, the woman was absolutely beautiful, perhaps one of the most beautiful women he had ever seen.
However, that was all. Right now, whether it be her clothes, appearance, or her hair, everything was triggering this body’s OCD.
Unable to take this anymore, he grabbed her and freed himself from her octopus like lock.
"Eh?" The woman blinked her eyes. Probably never experiencing a situation like today, where a man was rejecting her first.
"Clean yourself before you touch me." Reinhardt tried to keep his emotions in control; however, this body was quite strict when it came to a few things, and one of them was cleanliness.
It was already hard for him to be inside this wreck of a mansion and breathe the damp air. So when the girl with her dirty clothes tried to hug him, his face involuntarily became a little disgusted.
The woman must have also realised this and stared at her body. The next second, she burned in embarrassment again.
She had finally met the man of her dreams, yet instead of leaving a good impression on him, all she was doing was messing up again and again. That said, even after being pushed, she still thickened her face and approached him again.
"Sir Reinhardt, while you are being so generous, I have a couple more conditions; no, requests that I want you to fulfil... please".
Reinhardt’s eyes twitched. Was this girl for real?
Eleanor continued even while enduring the disgusted look on his face.
"Please allow me to stay in your mansion for the time being. Also, while at it, please take care of my food and clothing too. Lastly and more importantly, please lend me some money".
SILENCE... The room felt completely silent at the unabashed behaviour of this woman.
"Eleanor, you should show some restraints. How can you make so many demands on Lord Reinhardt?"
As her friend, even Melissa was starting to feel embarrassed. Yet this woman was continuing to put forward one request after another, unappalled.
"W-Well, if he doesn’t help me, then I am in big trouble. I have burned through all of my life savings and don’t even have a single silver coin left. Forget moving, I cannot even live past this week."
Eleanor’s face was now the color of a tomato as she said those words. Both Melissa and Reinhardt were stunned. This woman, just how did she burn her savings to fall so deep into poverty that she cannot even afford to get food for herself past this week?
"You... How were you managing to live until now then?"
Just when you think that the blush in Eleanor’s face cannot be any redder, it turned even darker shade of red as she slowly mumbled the next words.
"I stole".
"You stole?!" He heard words he never thought would come from one of the most beautiful actresses of the kingdom.
Eleanor nodded and continued, "Since the people who live next door are quite rich, they usually throw away food and items that are completely intact and in their covers. However, they left on a vacation last week, and I don’t know when they will return".
The other two people in the room had nothing to say. More than stealing, this woman had managed to live so far by trash scavenging.
Urgh... The more Reinahrt listened to her pitiful story, the more the dignified and graceful image of Eleanor he had in his mind collapsed. Before it could completely break apart, he spoke up.
"Fine, I accept all your conditions, stop with your sad destitute story".
He could no longer see her make a fool of herself. That said, a woman who was natural at acting was scary. The moment he said those words, the embarrassment, tears, along with every other emotion the woman was putting out faded, giving way to a jubilant and triumphant smile.
"In that case, I am ready to go with all of you. So when are we moving back to your territory?"
Reinhardt gaped, and so did Melissa. All of them got completely swept by her sad story.
Be that may, since he had given his word, there was no backing down even for him. Plus, it was not like the woman had actually lied to him. Everything she said was true; he had confirmed that earlier with his [Eyes of Divine Clarity].
"We will go back tonight. Now that I am here in the capital, I need to go visit the royal capital and report to Her Majesty about the fact that I am taking you back with me to the Snowpoint City. You go and take a bath or at least find some decent clothes to wear. Melissa, come with me".
The two ladies did what they were told.
"Your friend is quite unique." On the way, Reinhardt suddenly initiated a conversation.
"Haha, it looks like she got some of her energy back after you healed her." Melissa smiled helplessly.
"That seems to be the case. Anyways, I am counting on her to work with the same level of dedication and competency as you".
While he was not doubting her competency as an actress since he had been a victim of it firsthand today, he still needed her to work as a brothel manager for him.
"Don’t worry, just like me, she too was trained by Her Highness. You won’t find a single thing to complain about when she starts".
