“Is there a manufacturer for spices in this country?”
Xu Lu said unpleasantly, “Why are you asking?!”
Qiao Qing, “I want to go.”
Xu Lu laughed in anger, “You’re a noob who doesn’t know anything. Why would you want to go to a manufacturer?! Everything here is good quality and everything’s been extracted and is ready to use. Look at the wide range of selections here - aren’t these enough for you?!”
Qiao Qing straight up ignored her and started to use her own phone to search for the information she sought after.
When she found the spice manufacturer, she shoved her phone back into her pocket and walked out the door.
“Wait! Where are you going? The CEO asked you to make a perfume and asked me to waste my time as manager to guide you. Yet you are leaving after spending so little time here?!”
Qiao Qing continued to ignore her and walk on.
Xu Lu had no choice but to go after her as her high heels clicked against the ground.
At a height of 170cm and with long legs, Qiao Qing’s relaxed pace ended up being much faster than Xu Lu’s pursuit.
Xu Lu, even with her high heels, was still shorter than Qiao Qing and looked exhausted while chasing.
After they left the company door, Qiao Qing got into a car. Xu Lu, without asking, sat inside as well, “What are you doing?!”
Qiao Qing snapped her head around, “None of your business.”
Xu Lu chocked, “Since the CEO asked me to take care of you, I have the responsibility to do so!”
Qiao Qing started to ignore her again and leaned into her seat and shut her eyes.
Xu Lu felt awkward to be placed in this situation. When she realized the brand of the car, she snickered.
“The CEO assigned you a car and a driver? You’re so young yet you don’t learn from the good. All you think about is how to find a rich man. You think young students like you who haven’t even graduated can marry into a rich family just because you’re okay looking? You really think you can seduce CEO Gong and marry into his family?”
“Only Ms. Xu and Ms. Lu, women who were born into the righteous family, are good enough for CEO Gong and can be accepted by the Gong family!”
Qiao Qing continued to ignore her.
Lang Yin, who was driving this vehicle, said awkwardly, “Miss, this car is my young miss’ car. I’m also serving her. Plus, the young miss has a boyfriend. She’s the one who doesn’t think Mr. Gong is good enough.”
Xu Lu was surprised to hear that and checked out Qiao Qing up and down.
Qiao Qing was dressed like a student - she didn’t look like a wealthy lady at all.
She snickered, “You sure are loyal to her like a dog. Why don’t think about your future? You really think she’ll be the missus of the Gong family? Your commander?”
“I’ve met all the wealthy young miss in country Z, but I sure don’t remember meeting her.”
“CEO Gong is the most eligible bachelor in country Z. Nobody can match his family background, appearance, and capability.”
“She doesn’t think CEO Gong is good enough?! She wants to go to heaven?! Who would believe that?!”
Lang Yin, “…”
He’s never met someone so difficult to talk to.
“My young miss isn’t from country Z…”
“Lang Yin,” Qiao Qing interrupted, “Just drive.”
Lang Yin, “Yes, miss.”
Xu Lu rolled her eyes at these two’s interactions. They sure were good at pretending.
The car drove to the major manufacturer of spices in country Z.
Once they arrived, they were greeted by a sea of flowers. At first glance, all sorts of spices were planted here.
Xu Lu now realized where they were and tried to once again beat down Qiao Qing’s spirits.
Qiao Qing, however, gave her no opportunity. She got out of the car and went to the office building there.
After she chatted with an employee, she went inside.
Xu Lu of course wasn’t about to be left behind.
