Qiao Qing remained stoic. For some reason, something didn’t sit well with her but she couldn’t place her finger on it.
Logically, Feng Heng became different even after being respectable towards her for three years. For Leng Heng to act like this today after not seeing her for three years seemed to make sense.
But something just felt strange to her.
As she hesitated, Leng Yan, who acted like a normal human being could barely hold on anymore.
He felt a mouthful of blood go into his mouth from his chest. However, he forcefully swallowed it.
Zhou Xin saw that even makeup couldn’t cover up how pale Leng Yan was anymore and hurriedly “reminded”, “Young master, don’t forget that you have a meeting at 8 am.”

His words ensured that the other two men would not let her stay.

Qiao Qing, however, stared at Leng Yan, who was walking up the stairs, “You are having a virtual meeting? You’re not going to your office?”

He headed upstairs.

He then walked up the stairs himself.
It was physically draining for Leng Yan to go up the stairs.
He acted tough until he turned the corner and had to hold onto the wall to stabilize himself.
He felt another mouthful of blood going up to his throat and he once again swallowed it.
His vision started to get blurry as he headed for his bedroom. His steps also became unstable.
Zhou Xin walked up to help Leng Yan, “Young…”
Leng Yan shushed him and allowed Zhou Xin to help him into his bedroom.
