Ling Feng shook his head and laughed, looking back at the female thief. He said casually, "Call me whatever you want, little thief. Until we meet again! Or rather, we'll never meet again!"
As Ling Feng was about to leave, Jiang Biyi hurriedly shouted, "Hey, you jerk! Are you really going to leave me in the middle of nowhere at this hour? If a demonic beast finds me, I'm dead for sure..."
Jiang Biyi got so agitated that she spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to the ground again.
Ling Feng rolled his eyes. "Aren't I a perverted wolf? Being with me seems even more dangerous, right?"
"Hmph, then go ahead and leave!" Jiang Biyi glared at Ling Feng, her eyes welling up with tears.
Are female thieves so delicate these days? Ling Feng was speechless. He walked back to the female thief, pulled her up, and took out a few medicinal pills, stuffing them into her small mouth.
"What kind of medicinal pills are these?" Jiang Biyi was still quite cautious.
"They're poison. Will you take them or not?" Ling Feng rolled his eyes, feeling annoyed.
"Ah, yum!" Jiang Biyi swallowed the pills in one gulp. "If they're poison, then just let them kill me!"
She realized that if Ling Feng wanted to kill her, he wouldn't have gone through the trouble of saving her. The palm strike from Jia Yan could have easily taken her life.
"I really don't know how someone with your intelligence has survived as a thief." Ling Feng shook his head, casually slinging the female thief over his shoulder. "I'll take you into the city, and then we'll go our separate ways. After that, we'll pretend we never met."
Jiang Biyi was carried like a sack. Ling Feng's shoulder pressed painfully into her stomach, making her cry out in frustration. "You jerk, is this how you carry a girl?"
"One more word, and I'll throw you away!" Ling Feng glared at the silly thief, who really didn't understand the situation.
Jiang Biyi shrank back and didn't dare say another word, allowing Ling Feng to carry her in silence.
As Ling Feng carried her towards the city, he thought that County Hanwu should be under martial law now. But with his movement art, it would be easy to evade the city guards.
After a while, Jiang Biyi couldn't help but ask, "Hey, bad guy, why did you massacre the Jia family?"
"Bad guy?" Ling Feng paused. Indeed, did everyone in the Jia family, except for the elderly and children, deserve to die?

"Oh..." Jiang Biyi bit her lip. She saw Ling Feng killing without mercy, however he also saved her. He didn't seem too cruel or completely evil.
This fella looks young but he seems to have experienced a lot.
"My name is Jiang Biyi. Bad guy, what's your name?"
"Why ask so many questions? We'll part ways once we're in the city."
"Can't I ask out of boredom?" Jiang Biyi pouted. "You're so boring!"
"Aren't I a bad guy? Just calling me that will do." Ling Feng shifted her on his shoulder. "Alright, no more talking. We're almost in the city."
Just then, a shadow flashed towards them. Even with Ling Feng's sharp eyes, he could only see a vague figure.
Ling Feng's eyes twitched. He quickly activated Boundless Vision but found that even with it, the shadow remained elusive and flickered unpredictably.
In the dense forest, the swaying trees made the shadow almost impossible to track.
"Is that... the Light-Fleeting Shadow Technique?"
Ling Feng's pupils contracted. He remembered General Deng telling him about The Shadow organization. Unexpectedly, he encountered an expert of the Light-Fleeting Shadow Technique near County Hanwu.
"Sir, come out!" Ling Feng held Jiang Biyi with one hand and his Eradicator of Realms in the other, ready to strike at any moment.
"Kid, you have good eyes to notice the presence of The Shadow!"
Laughter echoed from all directions, covering the entire space, making it impossible for Ling Feng to pinpoint the speaker's location.
Ling Feng raised an eyebrow. This person indeed has skill. It’s no wonder he's a part of the legendary organization, The Shadow.
Jiang Biyi, still on Ling Feng's shoulder, was initially grumbling about why Ling Feng suddenly stopped, causing another wave of pain in her stomach. Suddenly, hearing the elusive voice, she quickly shouted, "Uncle Wei, is that you?"
"You little girl, I'll deal with you later!" The voice had a mix of concern and reprimand in it, but then turned cold again. "Boy, release the girl you captured, or The Shadow will be your relentless enemy!"
"Sir, you misunderstood." Ling Feng set Jiang Biyi down. "Since someone's here to meet her, I won't interfere anymore. Farewell!"
With that, Ling Feng used his movement art to head towards Hanwu County.
"Huh?" The shadow hidden in the trees was puzzled. He thought Jiang Biyi was kidnapped by Ling Feng.
In a flicker, a middle-aged man appeared from the shadows, walking to Jiang Biyi and glaring at her. "Yi Yi, I told you to act with Ye Xingnan. Why did you sneak away? What if something happened to you? How would I explain it to the master?"
"Pfft, you don't need to explain anything to her!" Jiang Biyi stuck out her tongue. "It was my first mission, and I wanted to do it myself! Besides, though Ye Xingnan might be a C-rank member, he has the strength of a B-rank. If he helps me, what's left for me to do?"
"You little girl, you haven't learned much and almost lost your life this time. Haven't you learned your lesson?"
Just then, a white shadow flew out of the forest behind them.
If Ling Feng were there, he would recognize Ye Xingnan as The Shadow who received the mission to steal the demonic shen's crystal core at the General's mansion.
