He then stepped past Fujino Doxu, approached Qin Muni, and asked with a friendly smile, "Miss Qin, was the trip enjoyable?"
Fujino Doxu pursed his lips at his back, resigned to placing the suitcase and the bouquet of champagne roses in the trunk himself.
Qin Muni didn’t notice the faint tension between the two; she gave Tang Haoliang a gentle smile, "Not bad."
"That’s good, please get in the car." Saying this, he reached out to open the rear car door for Qin Muni.
Fujino Doxu, having just closed the trunk, saw this and a faint mischievous smile appeared on his face. Calmly, he circled the car and sat in the rear seat on the other side.
Just as Xu Yisen was about to move to sit by Qin Muni’s side, he noticed the situation and couldn’t help but furrow his brows slightly, staring through the car at Fujino Doxu, who had just opened the door but hadn’t yet gotten inside.
Fujino Doxu noticed Xu Yisen’s intense gaze; he smiled warmly at him, briefly bent down and got into the car, and closed the door.
Tang Haoliang sneaked a look at Xu Yisen’s slightly bothered expression through the corner of his eye and quietly reminded, "Chairman, please get in the car; it’s cold outside."
With that, he reached out to open the front passenger door, inviting Xu Yisen inside.
Xu Yisen walked silently to the front passenger side, then bent down and got into the car.
The restaurant Qin Muni had reservations for was a Sichuan cuisine eatery located in the Fan Shuo Mall in the city center.
Perhaps due to hours of flying, both Qin Muni and Fujino Doxu seemed a bit tired, and nobody spoke along the way. The four silently listened to the radio, and the atmosphere was quite harmonious.
It took forty minutes for the car to reach the entrance of the mall. After getting out, the three walked into the mall, where the employees who saw Xu Yisen respectfully bowed and greeted him.
"Munni, you’re really considerate. You just arrived in China and already invited me to my favorite Sichuan cuisine."
While the three were waiting for the elevator outside, Fujino Doxu gently nudged Qin Muni with his elbow and winked at her playfully.
Qin Muni merely curved her lips and silently watched him show off... wondering who it was that insisted before boarding the plane that he wanted to have his favorite Sichuan cuisine as soon as he landed.
When the elevator reached the lobby, the doors slowly opened, and Qin Muni was the first to step inside. As Fujino Doxu was about to follow behind her, he was lightly bumped on the shoulder and saw a tall figure pass him, entering the elevator right behind Qin Muni.
After Xu Yisen entered the elevator, he slightly curled his lips towards Fujino Doxu, who was still outside staring at him with dissatisfaction, and asked, "Mr. Fujino, aren’t you coming in?"
"Of course! How could I not? My dear Munni is inviting me for a meal." As he spoke, he lifted his leg and stepped into the elevator.
Qin Muni vaguely felt the atmosphere in the elevator was a bit strange, yet couldn’t quite pinpoint why.
Fortunately, it wasn’t long before the elevator arrived at the fifth floor.
The three got off the elevator, headed straight to the restaurant entrance, and Qin Muni told the greeter her name. The staff eagerly welcomed her and led her to the private room she had reserved.
"I’m starving, Munni, come sit here." Fujino Doxu took Qin Muni’s hand and pulled her to sit by his side, then looked up and provocatively glanced at Xu Yisen.
Xu Yisen merely cast him a indifferent glance, took off his wool coat, put it on a nearby sofa chair, and then gracefully sat down opposite Qin Muni.
