"By the way, do you have any plans after breakfast?"
Munni looked up at Yuan Chengmo and nodded. "Yeah, what’s up?"
"Come with me to check out a house."
"Checking out a house? Are you moving out?"
"I’ve been kicked out of my house. If I don’t buy a house, I’ll have to sleep on the streets." He paused, raised an eyebrow, and teased, "Or does my dear junior want to take me in?"
Munni chewed her food carefully, and after swallowing, replied with a mix of laughter and tears, "Senior, how big of a mistake did you make to get kicked out of the house?"
"You wouldn’t understand, this is called having ambition, my dear junior."
Munni pursed her lips, choosing not to comment on his defense.
"Got it. I’ll go with you to see the house after breakfast."
Seeing Munni nod in agreement, Yuan Chengmo smiled in satisfaction. "I just love how obedient you are, my little junior."
The house Yuan Chengmo was interested in buying was only a fifteen-minute walk or a five-minute drive from Munni’s place.
He had already scheduled an appointment with the sales agent, so when they arrived at the apartment complex, the agent was already there waiting for them.
"Hello, Mr. Yuan. Based on your requirements, I have found a suitable property for you.
The owner bought the house when the building first opened. However, during the renovation, he received an offer from a company overseas. After some thought, he decided to sell the house and immigrate abroad.
So, even though the house is fully renovated, no one has lived in it yet. It’s completely new, so you have nothing to worry about."
As the agent led them to view the property, he briefly introduced its background.
When they arrived at the house, the agent input a password into the lock, after which the door automatically unlocked. He turned the doorknob, opened the door, and politely invited the two inside.
The house, like Munni’s, was a duplex, but not as large as Munni’s place, featuring five bedrooms, three living rooms, four bathrooms, and three balconies.
The agent gave a summary of the layout and led them through a tour of both floors.
Yuan Chengmo glanced sideways at Munni and asked, "What do you think?"
"Not bad, you could buy it."
"Alright, I’ll buy it then." Yuan Chengmo nodded and told the agent, "We’ll take this one, thank you."
As they headed to the sales office, Yuan Chengmo’s lawyer happened to arrive. Since it was a full cash payment, many steps in the process were skipped.
After paying and signing the contract, Yuan Chengmo left the remaining procedures to the lawyer and took Munni with him as they left.
The heavy snow that had fallen last night had stopped, but a significant amount of snow remained on the ground, crunching underfoot.
Munni looked down at the various footprints in the snow and laughed, "Senior, would you like to build a snowman together?"
Yuan Chengmo stopped, looked at Munni with a smile, and nodded gently, "Sure."
They went to the park in Munni’s apartment complex. Due to the weather, only a few children were having snowball fights there.
Munni and Yuan Chengmo found a spot where the snow had piled up thickly and began building a snowman.
Yuan Chengmo recalled how in university, Munni always liked to keep an eye on the weather forecast during winter.
Whenever the forecast predicted that it would snow at night or early the next morning, she would excitedly call Yuan Chengmo.
"Senior, it’s going to snow heavily tonight. Let’s build a snowman together when we get up tomorrow!"
Even over the phone, Yuan Chengmo could sense the bright smile on her face as she spoke.
