Anyway, I saw the guy call out for the man with bulging muscles. He said something to him.

He exclaimed that.

I asked as I stood up and got out of the pool in case a fight breaks out. I would be in disadvantage if I didn’t.
"YOU SAID THAT GUY WAS KAISER!!!"
The angry man in front of me exclaimed, pointing at the huge guy with bulging muscles.
I was putting distance between us, there’s about three meters so I can response whatever happens.
"Ohh, Kaiser... I misheard you, my bad."
"I’m Kaiser, yeah."
I said, acting dumb.
And hearing my words—

The guy in front of me got silent, a heavy frown and confusion on his face. It seems like he’s conflicted about something.

He cursed out.
Although he’s making a scene, nobody around really gives a fuck. That’s because this is probably normal in this place.
"Are you really Kaiser?!"
The guy asked, bringing his attention back at me and scratching the top of his head.

I asked back. But instead of receiving an answer for that—
"You’re lucky the boss us interested in you, if they’re not... I would’ve already killed you because of the stunt you pulled on me earlier."

"My boss asked me to find you, he wants to recruit you in our organization."
The guy in front of me said that.

The guy in front of me then explained, acting all high and mighty. I kind of understood what he means, but some things are still unclear to me.

"What’s in for me if I join that organization of yours?"
"Protection."
He quickly replied.
"Huh? Who’s your boss anyway?"
I followed.
And while puffing out his chest proudly—
"He’s the rising star, Edmar! He just got promoted into a silver rank a few days ago!"
He declared that.
"Yeah, no. I’m good. Not interested"
I immediately rejected his offer as soon as I heard of that. No way I’m going to work under someone who just got to Silver Rank.
"WHAT?!"
The guy in front of me shouted in shock, like I said something offensive.
"Why wouldn’t you?!"
He asked me.
And with a straight face...
"I don’t want to be under someone that weak. Basing on your words... Joining a strong organization with a lot of influence will give me a lot of benefits—I just don’t think your group is that strong."
I answered with that.

The guy in front of me was speechless. His face became blank.

He fell on his butt on the ground, coughing.
