Ye Tian just went in without any manners.
Bai Yanwu was in the living room, sitting quietly with tear stains on her face.
"Have you been crying?" Ye Tian asked.
"Huh?" Bai Yanwu looked up and saw Ye Tian right in front of her, "How did you get in?"
"I walked in." Ye Tian sat down on the sofa without any courtesy, and to be honest, wealthy people really do enjoy their comforts. The sofa is quite comfortable.
"Don’t come looking for me anymore. I have decided to get married."
"Marry who?" Ye Tian curiously asked, then felt a deep sympathy for the man Bai Yanwu was going to marry, spending a lifetime with an ice block, wondering how big of a karma this is.
"Gao Ping!" Bai Yanwu squeezed out the two words from between her teeth.
"You don’t know him." Bai Yanwu seemed unwilling to talk about it anymore, "You better leave quickly."
"I came to ask you something." Ye Tian thought for a moment, realizing he couldn’t stay here, so he decided to ask something else.
"Do you know Xiao Yi?"
"That bad guy? How could I not know him, it’s him who ruined my family ."
"But he said it wasn’t him."
"How could a person admit to bad things they did?" Bai Yanwu gave Ye Tian a cold look.
"But I believe him. Also, he has your photo, the one hanging in your room, from when you were a child." Ye Tian swung his legs comfortably, looking relaxed, but his eyes were firmly fixed on Bai Yanwu.
"Impossible." Bai Yanwu denied, "You must have seen it wrong."
"Well, okay, it must have been my mistake then." Ye Tian stood up, preparing to leave, "I think it’s not so bad for you to get married, even if it’s for money, after all, you think it’s worth it if you can sell for so much."
Ye Tian originally intended to walk straight away, but at the doorway, he still said those words to Bai Yanwu.
"I thought you would persuade me?" Bai Yanwu was disappointed.
"Why should I persuade you? Everyone has their own life. If you want something, you need to pay for it, right? You are short of money and have nothing else, so selling yourself is quite fitting, right?" Actually, Ye Tian was still worried; he felt he should investigate who this Gao Ping really was.
"Uh." Bai Yanwu nodded, "You’re right. I just thought I still was the old Bai Yanwu. I’ve even been a bar girl, what else can’t I do?"
"It’s good that you know. Actually, isn’t a woman’s life all about getting married and having children? How do you know you won’t live well later?"
"I already know." Bai Yanwu forced a smile, watching Ye Tian leave, tears still streaming down.
Gao Ping’s background was easy to unearth—a typical businessman who whitewashed his underworld connections, quite a successful one. Although there is an age gap between them, age isn’t a problem nowadays. What surprised Ye Tian was that Gao Ping was originally under Bai Shi.
Digging deeper into the investigation, it turned out that Bai Shi kicked him out because of his deeds, which could be said to have led to the ruin and devastation of another family, none other than Sun Yue’s family.
"Damn this melodramatic plot!" Ye Tian muttered as he threw out the useless garbage and looked over the documents he held.
Ye Tian’s home was now worse than a garbage dump. He deeply despised that damned old gatekeeper who didn’t offer him any benefits, but brought him such a huge trouble. How could there be such an idiotic person who would believe in the Medicine of Immortality?
Ye Tian cleared a spot on the sofa and hurriedly sat down, staring at the documents in his hand. Xu He was a diligent intelligence worker, should have been born fifty years earlier; then he certainly would have been an excellent spy.
Regarding the things Gao Ping did back in the day, it was detailed to the extreme. Then there was Bai Shi who took the blame for someone else, and then was paid off to leave. However, now it seemed that Gao Ping was not grateful to Bai Shi, instead, he wants to marry the man’s daughter.

And the Jade Sword, could it really have been bought by Xiao Yi? Not buying earlier or later, but specifically at this time, really smelled fishy.
Ye Tian looked around his home, indistinguishable from a garbage dump, feeling very irritated in his heart. No, he had to resolve this matter quickly.

Ye Tian was led into a private room, and on the way, he saw two people standing in front of a door of another room, looking as if there was someone important inside. Maybe, just maybe, the person inside was Guo Bin.
Ye Tian said to the departing waiter, "Young man, where is the restroom?"
"Just straight ahead and turn left."
"Okay, you go find the girls, I’ll head to the restroom first."
Ye Tian took a roundabout way, looked around the whole nightclub, and only here were there people at the door, indicating this might be the right spot.
Ye Tian immediately staggered towards the private room, and was quickly stopped by the two men.
