The Beautiful CEO’s Close Bodyguard Chapter 766

Now Nangong Sanli is just an idle person, which is unacceptable for the already ambitious Nangong company, so there was the idea of taking advantage of Chu Ge’s absence to make a move on Old Master Nangong.

"How can you truly do this to Old Master Nangong, who is your own elder brother?" The man set his teacup on the coffee table, asking Nangong Sanli with a half-smiling, half-serious tone.

Nangong Sanli’s eyebrows raised, displeased as he looked at the man, "What do you mean? When has it been anyone else’s place to meddle in the Nangong Family’s affairs? I don’t need you to manage my business, just give me what I want."

Massaging his temples, Nangong Sanli was somewhat conflicted, but this conflict wasn’t about his reluctance to move against Old Master Nangong, rather, it was about how to execute the plan flawlessly. After all, Old Master Nangong was not the muddle-headed man he used to be; he was now very astute and Nangong Sanli had to tread carefully.

"Yes, Mr. Nangong, you’re right, it’s not my place to interfere in your family matters. I just worry, what if you fail and Mr. Nangong retaliates? Don’t forget, he has Chu Ge backing him now, and neither Chu Ge nor Nangong Yinghao are easy to deal with. We usually take money to eliminate disasters for others, but if this disaster brings us troubles, we’d rather not get involved."

Although Nangong Sanli had secretly cultivated a large number of talents, they were nothing compared to the elites surrounding Nangong Yinghao. He had originally planned to ambush Nangong Yinghao when he went out, but Old Master Nangong was always guarded by a swarm of bodyguards during outings, and Chu Ge often accompanied him.

Issues unnoticed by ordinary people are often discerned by Chu Ge in an instant. With Chu Ge around, at least eighty percent of the threats to Old Master Nangong were eliminated, leaving Nangong Sanli no opportunity to make a move.

Within the company, everyone was a follower of Old Master Nangong, making it extremely difficult to infiltrate. Therefore, after much consideration, the best place to target Old Master Nangong was still the Old Mansion.

Although Old Master Nangong was suspicious of Nangong Sanli, they were still family, and it wouldn’t be apparent, what’s more, in this family, covert battles for power and profit were common. Everyone pretended everything was calm, and all were clear about it, but no one broke the status quo.

This man was brought in by Nangong Sanli, and his organization often researched secret weapons, all lethal, highly favored by international mercenaries and assassins. Nangong Sanli also expended a lot of effort to find out about this.

He couldn’t act personally; he had to stay home and keep an eye on Old Master Nangong to react promptly to any movement, so he had this man disguised as a servant of the Nangong Family to bring the secret weapon Nangong Sanli purchased to the Nangong Mansion.

This man was clearly professional; the moment he entered, Nangong Sanli knew and felt reassured, but he didn’t expect the man to be so idle. Although what the man said made sense, they didn’t want to invite trouble, especially since challenging the Nangong Family’s authority was formidable.

But Nangong Sanli was confident, believing he could handle Old Master Nangong. Once he dealt with him, the family and all its assets would belong to him.

Thinking this, Nangong Sanli became somewhat eager, looking at the man, "Rest assured, I wouldn’t dare move against Nangong Yinghao without full confidence. Since I’ve decided to move against him, I certainly have full confidence, you just need to give me what I need."

The man chuckled, "Don’t worry, since we’re doing business with you, we’ll certainly provide you with what you need. I only asked to understand how confident you really are."

Nangong Sanli seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. He was putting all his chips in one basket now. Everyone knew who had better chances between him and Nangong Yinghao. When he first started making inquiries, anyone who heard that his target was Old Master Nangong was too scared to take on the job. Now that he had found someone unafraid, he naturally wanted to seize this opportunity tightly.

Capturing the emotional state of Nangong Sanli, the man’s eyes flashed an unclear significance.

Their help to Nangong Sanli wasn’t without conditions. If Nangong Sanli succeeded, they would be pleased, holding leverage over Nangong Sanli to ensure his compliance. If he failed, it wasn’t unmanageable but would be somewhat troublesome.

What troubled them wasn’t just retaliation from Old Master Nangong, but also potentially Chu Ge’s involvement. If the plan failed, Old Master Nangong would surely ask Chu Ge to step in, making denial difficult for them.

Rising from the sofa, the man moved the tray on the coffee table to his front, and under Nangong Sanli’s puzzled gaze, opened the bottom of the tray to reveal a thin blade hidden there.

"Isn’t this too conspicuous?" Nangong Sanli looked at the blade with difficulty, unfamiliar with it and aware of Old Master Nangong’s high alertness, fearing detection before even getting close.

"We’ve considered this as well," the man said while removing the blade. Then, in front of an astonished Nangong Sanli, he manipulated it for a while, and the sharp blade transformed into a fine ring. The ring, besides being shiny, didn’t appear unusual.

Nangong Sanli was amazed not only by the man’s transformation of the blade into a ring but also because the man’s hands remained uncut upon touching the sharp blade. It seemed impossible for the blade to leave no marks, and upon closer inspection, he realized the man’s hands, although seemingly normal, bore no fingerprints, indicating they weren’t human hands at all.

Nangong Sanli noticed this but asked no further, instead observing the man handling the ring for a while longer before taking out another ring from his pocket. After setting the original ring into the new one and completing the assembly, he handed the ring to Nangong Sanli.

"Try it. The needle is coated with a potent poison, be careful," the man warned.
