Shi Yao spoke up once more, but Lin Jiage didn’t listen to her.
It was only when he heard footsteps coming from inside that he snapped back to his senses.

He had no idea how long he had been standing there in a daze like a statue.
All he knew was that he had been jolted back to his senses by a sudden knock on the cubicle door behind him, “Brother in there, your phone keeps ringing…”
Lin Jiage didn’t say a word. He lowered his head and took out his phone, only to find a row of missed calls on the screen.
They were all from Shi Yao.
Soon, Shi Yao’s call appeared on the screen once more.
He stared at the screen for a moment, but he didn’t pick up the call. Instead, he muted the call and stuffed it back into his trouser pocket. He maintained his previous posture and leaned against the door in a daze for a moment before slowly standing up and opening the door behind him, he walked out.
Standing in front of the sink, Lin Jiage glanced at his reflection in the mirror, and he could clearly see that his eyes were slightly red.
He turned on the tap, grabbed a handful of cold water, and washed his face. After which, he faced the mirror once more and smirked. After making sure that his face wasn’t as stiff as before, he casually took out two tissues and wiped off the water droplets on his face and hands, he walked out of the washroom.
With a single glance, he caught sight of Shi Yao, who was anxiously calling him from the floor-to-ceiling window.
He paused in his tracks and stared at her for a moment before walking over to her.
When he was standing right in front of her, she noticed that someone was approaching her, so she raised her head to take a look. After taking a closer look at him.., the anxious expression on her face immediately relaxed. “Where did you go? I’m about to board the plane, and I tried calling you so many times, but you didn’t pick up…”
“Oh…”hearing Shi Yao’s words, Lin Jiage took out his phone from his pocket and took a look at it. His tone was as calm as usual,”… I accidentally muted my phone. I was in the bathroom just now.”
After hearing Lin Jiage’s explanation, Shi Yao replied with an “Oh oh”before urging Lin Jiage to hurry up and board the plane, “There’s only ten minutes left before the plane closes. We have to hurry.”
Lin Jiage didn’t say a word, but he nodded his head with his usual expression. After which, he bent over to grab his and Shi Yao’s bags and followed her to the boarding gate.
