Vol.2 Epilogue (part 4)
That Which Fills Up the Loneliness
He separated his body a little from Francesca and then looked down at her. His eyes narrowed with the realization, and he continued to expressionlessly stare at Francesca’s face like a pure child.
“………You’re blushing.”
“Like I said, I’m embarrassed right now!!”
Her face really seemed like it was burning red hot. As if to check, Leonardo beautiful finger touched her bright red ear.
“Because of me?”
“uu………yes. This is Leonardo’s fault………”
When she looked up towards him spitefully with face still completely beet red, Leonardo could only laugh happily.
“——my cute Francesca.”
“Wha……….!”
Saying that, he too kissed her on the cheek, replicating Francesca.
And then once more, he dragged her back into his tight embrace.
“You really are a bit of a liar huh, surprisingly enough.”
“Le-Leonardo…….?”
“Didn’t you once bluntly say this to me, that [you can’t fulfil my wishes]?”
When he asked, she too recalled. Early on back when they had only just met, she had said that to him while at the Academy.
[I don’t think I can fulfil even a single wish of yours.——just be sure to remember that.]
Back then, she was simply worried about not getting used by Leonardo. That’s why she had said those things but evidently, Leonardo still remembered it.
“But that was the biggest lie of them all……..all you have done is basically fulfil every wish I ever had.”

Francesca could not understand the true meaning of what those words meant to Leonardo.
But right now there was one thing that was certain, she did indeed want to fulfil as many of his wishes as possible. Caressing and patting the head of the boy much taller than herself, Francesca asked.
“Have you stopped feeling lonely?”
She prayed, from the bottom of her heart, for that to be the case.
As she continued to touch his soft black hair, she seemed to have calmed down a bit as well. Her cheeks were still burning like before, but this situation, in and of itself, was not a bad feeling either.
That said, even Francesca had started to feel a little reluctant to part with him now, which she recognized was the exact opposite of what she was aiming for. And sure enough, Leonardo, who was currently being spoiled by Francesca, spoke out his selfish desires.
“……….Now I want to part with you even less, making me more lonely if anything.”
“Whaa, that’s not what we decided on……!!”
She cried, however even then, she continued to soothe Leonardo for a while longer.

Not even realizing that Leonardo, who was embracing her, had his eyes closed deep in thought about something.

Inside her home at the capital, the head lady of the Ranieri family, Sofia Patricia Ranieri, was currently writing with her pen.
“——-and that was all. She was quite the interesting girl for sure.”
Talking to the young man sitting on the other side of her table, she continued signing on the important documents in front of her.
“No wonder even Aldini took interest in her. I would have liked to be with her for a while longer but, for now this much will do. Things are about to get really busy anyway.”
All the business that the Ranieris ended up taking over due to this incident should be able to grow much more beautifully depending on the methods used.
“Not that it’s my business. But after all the uproar inside the forest, wouldn’t there be a lack of trust now?”
“Maruqis Savini basically took it all on his own head. No matter how anyone sees it, we were simply used, and were dragged into this mess. A victim, and nothing more.”
Confirming the documents in front of her one last time, Sofia wiped the tip of the pen and put it down on the table.
“Though, Aldini would probably continue to have his own suspicions I’m sure.”
“Hah. Seeing the head Lady of the Ranieris look this incompetent, anyone would think that you might have neglected these problems intentionally instead.”
Laughing at his cheeky comments, she lit a cigarette and brought it to her lips.
“You, have you met the young lady at the academy before?”
“Trovato? Not really.”
“I see. Then, be sure to do so come the next term.”
“Haah?”
He clearly seemed displeased but, she wasn’t in the mood to let him refuse either.
The boy had the same dark skin as Sofia, as well as similar golden blonde hair. However, for a seventeen year, he was pretty tall.
He had a masculine and cool looking face, that always carried a stern look. His brow furrowed from displeasure, his language was rough, and his general conduct would surely scare most.
But from Sofia’s point of view, he was still nothing but a greenhorn.
“Disobeying the family head’s orders now? Little David?”
“Oh shut it Sis. You damn tyrant.”
Sofia’s younger brother David crossed his legs while seated on the sofa, and glared at her.
“I’ll do what I want to do, however I want to do it. I don’t give a shit if she’s Aldini’s fiancée or not.”

Leaning her head on her hand sat on the armrest, Sofia smiled with her vividly coloured lips.
(This is where the fun truly begins.)
