Their financial situation wasn’t as good, so Grandma Xu doesn’t normally invite people over for dinner. However, she could tell that Yao Tangwas different from anybody else they had met.
Because of this, Xu Xuan didn’t ask any further. She simply nodded and replied, “I’ll try my best to convince her, but I don’t promise any certainties.”
“That’s still good.”
Just then, a thought crossed her mind. “How is it going with the other Miss?”
“It’s not bad.” Xu Xuan hesitated for a while before asking, “Grandma, do I really have to protect her and obey her orders?”
Grandma Xu pursed her lips. “We may be poor, but we don’t forget any favors. Don’t mention this again.”

After leaving the Xu Family Villa, Cheng Yan sent Qin Jinghome first. The three of them all said their goodbyes as she disappeared into the living room.
When they were finally alone, he turned to Yao Tang. “Tomorrow is the start of the weekend. Will you be free tonight?”
“Hm.”
She nodded lazily, staring at the scenery outside the window. The calming breeze blew right past them and the leaves fluttered all over the pavement.
Although she didn’t have much time to study, Yao Tang already memorized all the questions that could pop up anyway. It would be a waste to go through them again.
It’s why she had some free time on her hands.
He smiled. “Then why don’t we watch a movie?” he asked casually. “There’s a new movie released recently. I’m sure you’d like it.”
“Sure.”
In the afternoon, Yao Rong sent her message that Elder Guanwill be coming over for dinner tonight. She had actually been thinking of possible places to go, and this was definitely a more convenient spot for her to head to.
After having dinner, she followed Cheng Yan to the entrance of the movie theatre.
“Wait here.” The young man ran to the front desk, grabbing a pair of tickets and a large bucket of popcorn in his arms. A wide smile was painted across his face.
Its sweet smell wafted around them, and she breathed in deeply.
Qin Hao, who was standing at the side this entire time, blinked in surprise. Who would’ve thought that Cheng Yan would be smiling so widely with a bucket of popcorn in his hand?
And he was there to witness it!
This was truly a historic moment.
He snickered a couple of times, but Cheng Yan made no move to stop him. In fact, upon looking closer, he couldn’t help but see that his smile had turned somewhat…doting.
The sight made Qin Hao’s hairs stand up in fear.
At this point, Qin Hao didn’t know why else he had to watch a movie. He had all the romance right in front of him.
“Let’s go.” Cheng Yan glanced over at Yao Tang.
He looked like an ordinary guy who was on a date with his girlfriend. With his tall figure and bright eyes, he looked quite handsome. The aura surrounding him was simply irresistible.
The two of them walked into the theater side by side.
After waiting for a while, they found that they were the only ones here, apart from Qin Hao sitting in the back row.
“It’s just us?” she asked lazily.
“It’s probably because the theater isn’t doing that well operationally. No one came to watch.” He shrugged.
Qin Hao resisted the urge to snort.
The movie theater was an extension of one of the many businesses that the Cheng Family holds. Whatever movie they’d decide to release would automatically become a big hit. How could it not be doing well?
Who would believe something like this?
What he didn’t expect was for Yao Tang to bob her head in agreement.
“I see.”
Qin Hao secretly glanced in Cheng Yan’s direction. Although the room had gotten much darker, he could almost imagine the smile on his boss’s face.
Whatever. He shook his head and decided to ignore the two. As he was here, he might as well enjoy the movie.
He was also interested in the show, given that it was just recently released.
What he didn’t expect was to receive another text message from his boss,
“You can leave now.”
Was he kidding him?
Qin Hao felt bitter in his heart. The man had called him over to drive, and now he was telling him to get lost. Who was he? However, just as he was about to type out a reply, he received another message,
“You get next week off.”
A wide smile played on his lips.
As expected, Brother Cheng was paying him back.
Qin Hao silently nodded at Cheng Yan before leaving the cinema. He might as well leave them alone. He’d watch the movie some other time.
