Qin Man gazed at her sternly.
Yao Ran gazed at her hands. “Mom, everyone already knows Yao Tangis his fiancée,” she whispered, her voice trembling. “If I interfere with their relationship, wouldn’t they think I’m…the third party of their relationship?”
As soon as she heard this, Qin Man’s face flushed bright red.
“What third party? Yao Tang was the one who snatched your man, not the other way around! She’s the reason why you’re here!”
She sighed in frustration, running a hand down her hair. “Don’t worry, no one would snatch him away from you. I’ll handle this. You just sit and recover first.”
Yao Ran smiled in gratitude.
Then, she glanced out of the window. “I wonder how sister Meng Ling’s wrist is doing now. It’s been so long since I’ve contacted her.”
“I can’t help but relate to her pain,” she murmured even further as a tear slid down her cheek. “My leg’s fractured and it’s already so painful. I couldn’t imagine how it would’ve felt for her wrist.”
Qin Man froze.
She remembered the young girl who had lived next door to Meng Ling. Meng Ling was the youngest daughter of the Meng Family, and she was extremely well-favored.
However, when she had fallen from the swing, the young girl shattered her wrist.
To take good care of her, the Meng Family moved to Jing City for advanced medical treatment.
This had happened two years ago.
