The Head of the Music Association shook his head as a bitter smile slipped into his lips.
“This is fate,” he murmured to himself. “Now that we know, what are we going to do about it?”

On the other side of the road, President Tan was originally staring at Yao Tangwith a sorrowful gaze.
Yao Tang also stared up at him with an indescribable emotion flashing across her eyes.
“I heard that the President’s students don’t have to participate in the assessment to enter the Association,” she said slowly, crossing her arms over her chest. “What do you have to say to that, teacher?”
Hearing her call him that, he felt even more guilty.
“I just wanted to train you so that you’d have more experience. Besides, participating in the assessment doesn’t pose much of a challenge for you anyway. Didn’t you already pass?”
Just then, he lowered his voice, “If I didn’t let you participate in the assessment, then you also wouldn’t have met someone like Elder Xu.”
As he explained, he felt that he was starting to make much more sense.
But then again…if he hadn’t concealed the fact that Yao Tang didn’t have to participate in the assessment, then she wouldn’t have participated as she did.
