In an instant, a sharp light flashed and an arrow shot through the trees. It was very fast, and it was aimed at Yao Tang’s back.
She immediately turned around and sliced the arrow in half.
Taking advantage of her distracted self, seven to eight people immediately rushed over and surrounded her. Their eyes were bright with greed as if they had finally succeeded against her.
“You still dare to go against me?”
Yao Tang arched up an eyebrow.

However, before they could, a phantom-like figure flashed right before them. Not long after, everyone else started falling onto the ground, one after the other.
Just as Yao Tang was wiping the knife in her hand, a male voice sounded right behind her.
“Didn’t I say that outsiders shouldn’t just come and go as they please?”
In the next second, Yao Yan passed through the bushes and stepped toward them.
He was immediately followed by a group of suited men.
Everyone froze, not sure what to do.
However, before they could say another word, they were met with both their blades and their pills. Before long, they all started falling one by one, writhing on the ground.
Death had finally caught up to them.
Yao Yan narrowed his eyes.
Staring at the appearances of this group, he could tell that they were a group of foreigners. However, as to what their intentions were, she didn’t know.
Yao Tang saw that Yao Yanwas getting closer and closer, so she took this time to move right behind the tree. She closed her eyes.
If she were seen, she wouldn’t know how to explain herself.
However, nothing seemed to escape her brother’s eye. Yao Yan’s eyes widened. “It really is you,” he said, surprised. “I thought I saw wrong.”
The group of men behind him appeared to be very well-trained.
There was another man with a fan in his hand who had stepped out of the forest. He had a faint smile on his face as if he was amused by the unexpected scene transpiring before him.
Bai Jing tilted his head. “Brother Yan, do you know this beautiful girl?” His eyes glittered. “Why don’t you introduce me so we could be…better acquainted with one another.”
Yao Yan shot him a glare.
“That’s my sister. Don’t even think about it.”
Yao Yan quickly glanced over at her. If he wasn’t mistaken, he noticed that she was going to run away from him. He cleared his throat.
“Tangtang, shouldn’t you be at school?” he asked. “Why are you here?”
Yao Yan had been on a business trip in the past few days, so he wasn’t able to catch up with what was happening in his sister’s life.
“I participated in the oath ceremony, where we’re supposed to hike up the Lingyun Peak. Then, the earthquake separated us.”
She told him everything.
Yao Yan knew that the oath ceremony required one to climb up the mountain. This was a tradition he had participated in back when he was in high school. However, in the past, they’d climb up Fengyue Peakinstead of Lingyun Peak.
He pursed his lips.
It was dangerous for her to be around this group of foreigners.
He had heard that they needed to track down this group of foreigners to prevent them from committing any crimes.
However, wasn’t she a bit far away from Lingyun Peak?
Why was she here?
Yao Yan looked around.
“The crater should be over there,” Bai Jing interrupted him from his thoughts as he pointed at the location shown in his fan. A faint light was emitted from the surface.
Yao Tang raised her eyebrows.
It seemed that the fan wasn’t an ordinary item.
“Follow us, and stick by our side, okay?” Yao Yan didn’t bother to investigate the reason why Yao Tangwas here. Now, he needed to investigate what was inside the crater.
Soon, after a few minutes of walking, a large crater appeared right before them.
The center of the crater appeared to be quite deep, so he couldn’t see what was inside.
“Search the area!”
Yao Yan waved his hand and five people headed over to the crater.
He crouched down and observed their movements.
