Yao Rong breathed a sigh of relief. “You shouldn’t apologize for something you couldn’t control,” he quickly comforted, grabbing her backpack and placing it on a shelf next to him. “Let’s eat. You must be hungry after everything that’s happened. It’s good that you’re back.”
All he cared about was that she was safe.
This entire day was truly a shock to all of them. His heart was practically racing in his chest the minute he found out about the earthquake. He was about to sprint to the cliff if it hadn’t been for the phone call.
He was only happy that she had finally returned.
“Next time, you should carry an emergency kit, where you’ll find all the bandages and ointments you’d need. We’ll even get you a compass.”
Yao Rong pursed his lips as he handed her a plate with a mix of pork and veggies.
Jiang Wan nodded in agreement as she placed a chicken drumstick on Yao Tang’s plate. “We don’t have to worry about that now though,” she quickly said. “The best thing is that you’re safe. We’ll just have to prepare if ever something like this happens again.”
After a happy dinner with her family, Yao Tang went upstairs to give President Tana call.
She didn’t know if he was aware of what had happened, but she didn’t want him to worry further if he did. She should at the very least inform him that she was safe.
At that time, President Tan was right at the entrance of Lingyun Peak. He was gritting his teeth as he waved his arms exasperatedly in the air.
“Why can’t you just let me in? Do you know my disciple’s in there? I’ve brought people to help me too! What’s wrong with you?” His panicked voice echoed across the vicinity.
He stared at the personnel blocking his way with wide eyes and tight lips.

After a slow nod, he ended up staying there for more than half an hour.
The more he waited, the more anxious he became. Every time he’d see a student being carried out there, he felt worried.
He felt a twinge in his heart.
If this continued, he’d have a heart attack!

President Tan’s phone rang. Furrowing his eyebrows, he reached out for his phone and looked at the screen.
His eyes widened.
It was Yao Tang!
She was safe! Even then, he was still worried about her. He quickly brought the phone to his ear.
“Yao Tang! Are you okay? What happened?”
He said quickly.
Yao Tang was sitting on her bed. When she heard President Tan’s worried voice, she couldn’t help but frown. “Master, where are you now? The background’s noisy.”
If she wasn’t mistaken, she could hear the voice of someone from the rescue team.
“Don’t worry about me now,” he said quickly.
“Just answer me, are you okay?”
“Yes, I’ve already returned home,” she responded sincerely. “You don’t have to worry. Everything’s fine.”
“That’s good. That’s good.”
President Tan repeated, breathing a sigh of relief.
