After Yao Tang had taken his clothes, she took a small ball out of his pockets.
The ball spun around her palm. Only after a few rounds did the ball rise up to mid-air before plopping back onto her hand.
Yu Chen glanced over at her.
However, before he could say anything, Yao Tang handed him the clothes back once more.
Yu Chen reached out to take it. Once he had gotten it, Yao Tang turned around and raced down the mountains. She didn’t even bother to look back.
“You’re leaving just like that?” he shouted. “What about my reward?”
She didn’t seem to have heard him as she disappeared from his sight.
Although he had longed to break free from her clutches, he couldn’t help but feel the smallest sense of… disappointment?
Like he was some sort of child abandoned on the roadside.
Yu Chen immediately dispelled the idea from his mind.
He had only come into contact with this woman for a short period of time, and he was already dependent on her.
Yu Chen glanced at the fabric on his hands and immediately put on his clothes. Oh well, guess he lost two things today.
However, he immediately thought back to Yao Tang’s actions.
She had handed him the clothes back, and he remembered seeing her with this small silver ball of hers. Could it be that she had simply borrowed his clothes’ ability before returning them to him again?
Yu Chen felt his heart beating fast in his chest.
Could that have worked?
This was his family’s treasure—one that had been passed down from generation to generation.
He had been prepared to be scolded by his family.
Yet now, maybe there was a chance to turn things around.
Although he knew the chances of that woman returning his clothes’ power to him, he couldn’t help but hold a sliver of hope for her.
Yu Chen held his breath and slowly placed his fingers into his pocket. The only thing he could do now was to wait and check.
Just then, he felt something embrace his fingers.
She returned the power!
He narrowed his eyes and dug deeper into the “space”, only to find the rare metals he had dug out of the mine. This was his! She had shared it with him!
He was rich!
Now that he had acquired his materials, he finally completed his training. Not only that, but he had even obtained something.
But, who was that girl?
Yu Chen couldn’t help but look in the direction where Yao Tang had disappeared. Now, nobody was there, but a layer of leaves from the trees above them. It seemed that she had already gone down from the mountain.
She could’ve taken it from him for what he had done.
Yet, she didn’t. She even kept up to her own side of the bargain.
This was too unbelievable!
Yu Chen was also very curious about one thing. Since she had returned the space to him, where did she put the minerals that she had collected?
At the other end of the mountain, Yao Tang was walking down the mountain.
It was already noon and No. 1 High School had already given everyone who participated in the Oath a day off.
When she checked her phone, she saw that she had a few missed calls.
They were calls from Yao Yan.
She sighed.
At this point, she was already feeling her head start to ache.
Having a brother could be troublesome.
