His long legs came to a halt as he gazed at Qiao Ruoxin’s delicate, beautiful face.
Qiao Ruoxin approached him with a faint smile, “Let’s go, I’m hungry.”
Then, she took Mo Chen’s hand and left the place.
A slight change finally appeared on Mo Chen’s cold and handsome face as he looked down at the hand the woman was holding.

Qiao Ruoxin led him to the car and turned to the bodyguards standing in a row, “You guys can go.”
The bodyguards glanced at Mo Chen, who responded indifferently, “Hmm.”
And so, everyone left.
Qiao Ruoxin looked up at the man beside her, “I’ll drive.”
She then promptly took the driver’s seat.
Mo Chen watched her for a few seconds before sitting in the passenger seat.
Inside the car, neither of them spoke. Qiao Ruoxin was focused on driving, constantly searching for something.
Finally, the car pulled over to the side of the road.
She unbuckled her seat belt, “Wait for me, I’ll be right back.”
The man frowned slightly, watching her get out of the car and walk towards the pharmacy, his lips pressing into a straight line.
After a little while, Qiao Ruoxin emerged from the pharmacy and placed the medicine bag on the hood of the car.
“Mo Chen, get out of the car.”
He opened the car door and walked over to Qiao Ruoxin, observing her careful and earnest manner as she dabbed at something with a cotton swab soaked in disinfectant alcohol.
Qiao Ruoxin looked up at him, “Lower your head a bit, I can’t reach.”
Mo Chen was expressionless and silent but lowered his head nonetheless.
There was a small cut on his forehead from which fresh blood oozed, giving his handsome features a touch of rebellious charm.
Gently, Qiao Ruoxin disinfected the wound and tenderly blew on it a couple of times.
At the faint breath on his forehead, his body tensed, his adam’s apple bobbing.
Then, Qiao Ruoxin took out a band-aid and applied it to his temple, revealing a satisfied smile, “There, don’t touch it with your hands.”
Mo Chen straightened up, responding coldly, “Hm.”
“Let’s go have dinner, I’m really hungry.”
The man looked into her twinkling eyes and asked in a deep voice, “What do you want to eat?”
She pondered a moment, “Hmm… let’s go for Japanese food?”
“Fine,” his voice was deep, sensual, and tinged with a hint of calm.
At this moment, Mo Chen was a far cry from the violent, bloodthirsty person he had been at the banquet.

In the private room of the Japanese restaurant.
Qiao Ruoxin ordered a lot of dishes, while Mo Chen sat opposite her in silence.
After the waiter took the menu and left, she took a sip of tea, “You’ll pay later, okay?”

She supported her face with her hands, seriously saying, “Mo Chen, when I earn some money, I’ll treat you to the most expensive meal.”
“Why do I feel like I’ve been raising a daughter? Grown up now, ready to take care of me?”
Mo Chen frowned, finding it somewhat amusing.
She huffed haughtily, “Then I’ll invite another man to dinner!”
