Doctor Xu arrived with his medical kit. After a brief examination, he treated the injury simply, declaring it just a minor scrape.
Wan Donglin asked if there might be a concussion. Doctor Xu examined her more carefully before suggesting they take her for an X-ray.
Wan Donglin pondered for a moment, then shook his head.
Doctor Xu said nothing more. In this grand mansion, no matter what strange events occurred, he was long past being surprised. He had visited so many times over the years that he had lost count. This particular incident was truly the most trivial of them all. The only thing different was that the injuries he had previously seen on women here were entirely distinct from this type of fall injury. Moreover, this woman was thoroughly covered.
For the first time, anxiety showed on the Third Young Master’s face. He stared wide-eyed as he paced back and forth for a long time.

Wan Donglin handed him a prepared check. The doctor, surprised at the amount, heard Wan Donglin say in a low voice, "Do not mention this incident to anyone."

After Doctor Xu left, the fury in Wan Donglin’s heart had already subsided. He merely glanced at the still unconscious Yan Xixi before leaving the room, disappointed.
「On Friday, Huang Xiaojue got off work very late.」
When he returned to his apartment complex, parked his car, and was about to head home, he saw a familiar luxury car parked nearby.
The car owner saw Huang Xiaojue, got out, and handed him a check with an arrogant expression. When Huang Xiaojue tried to rush him again, two plainclothes men beside Wan Donglin intervened and restrained him.
He struggled fiercely, but these two were clearly retired special forces soldiers. An ordinary person wouldn’t stand a chance against them.
Wan Donglin stepped back, took a moment to compose himself, then slapped the check across Huang Xiaojue’s face. "Kid, if you know what’s good for you, don’t keep pestering. Otherwise, I won’t be this polite next time."
With a wave of Wan Donglin’s hand, the two bodyguards released Huang Xiaojue. They then escorted Wan Donglin to the car and drove off swaggeringly.
Huang Xiaojue stood frozen in place. He unfolded the check and looked at it. Behind him, he heard his mother’s frantic voice, "Son, what happened? Did some thugs threaten you? The security guard called us. Are you all right?"
His father also hurried out after him. "Xiaojue, what happened? Who was that?"
Huang Xiaojue didn’t answer. His mother, sharp-eyed, spotted the check in his hand. She snatched it, and after a few surprised glances, slowly understood. "This is from Yan Xixi, isn’t it?"
Huang Xiaojue kept staring in the direction the luxury car had disappeared, even though there was nothing left to see.
His father said gravely, "It’s good that it’s over. Xiaojue, we can’t afford to provoke people like that. From now on, don’t look for Yan Xixi anymore. She has nothing to do with you."
