Why should I be here at all?
It turned out that after frequently riding in Yu Bao’s car, Yu Bao had told Hua Xiaomo a few things. For instance, Qi Longbing was a workaholic who often held meetings during lunch breaks.
"Then what does Miss Hua mean by that?" Qi Longbing also smiled with an air of nonchalance, his expression as serene as a fallen angel. His smile seemed harmless as he gestured towards the painting and the Venus sculpture. "Do you like them?" ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩·𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖·𝘯𝘦𝘵
"No... it’s not that. I’m just browsing," Hua Xiaomo said quickly, then hurriedly moved to the side.
Qi Longbing quickly followed. It seemed he had come to the art exhibition solely to accompany her. Wherever she went, he followed.
Hua Xiaomo watched him follow. She couldn’t bring herself to ask him to leave now, which was quite annoying.
I have to work at McDonald’s this afternoon. If Qi Longbing keeps following me , how am I supposed to get any work done?
Zhou Xiyang is a really good person and always looks out for me at work, often bringing me water. If I don’t go, I’d feel terrible for letting a friend down. Besides, McDonald’s is short-staffed right now.
Hua Xiaomo felt conflicted but didn’t know how to ask him to leave first.

"..." Hua Xiaomo paused, stunned. She hadn’t expected him to ask such a thing and was momentarily at a loss for words.
A smug, playful smile spread across Qi Longbing’s face. "Or perhaps Miss Hua aspires to be like the snow-white Venus—a goddess, is that right?"
As he spoke, his blue eyes thoughtfully swept over her from head to toe, as if possessing X-ray vision that pierced through her clothes to her very essence.
Instantly, Hua Xiaomo’s expression darkened. She couldn’t help but retort irritably, "President Qi, if you don’t understand art, please refrain from spouting nonsense, alright?"
To her surprise, Qi Longbing let out a wild, dry laugh and countered, "Oh, so you understand it? You think you’re quite the expert, do you?"
"Then explain it to me. What did you feel when you looked at that painting? Did your heart race?" Qi Longbing asked with a smile, his eyes glinting with a suggestive light.
This is outrageous! It’s simply impossible to communicate with this man!
Why is being with him so completely different from being with Long Shangxuan?
Someone who truly understands art knows what elegance is, but this guy...
He’s clearly desecrating these great works of art.
Hua Xiaomo didn’t know how she managed to suppress the anger simmering inside her. Forcing a strained, insincere smile, she said, "I can’t explain it to you, President Qi. We... we’re probably not on the same wavelength."
"Oh? Not on the same wavelength? And yet, we’ve run into each other here. It must be fate, don’t you think?" Qi Longbing said, a smile playing on his lips and a roguish glint hidden deep in his eyes. He then reached out and grasped her wrist.
"How about you come over to my wavelength then?" A wicked, captivating light danced in his eyes, his gaze intense and stunningly alluring.
Hua Xiaomo tugged at her hand, but he held it firmly. Soon, however, he quickly released her. He watched her with a grin, thinking, Hua Xiaomo is actually quite cute.
Moreover, Hua Xiaomo’s face was genuinely pretty; he found himself somewhat mesmerized as he looked at her. He also realized she was the type of girl whose attractiveness grew on you—the kind whose beauty you appreciate more over time.
