Just as Qi Longbing reached out to take the documents, Hua Xiaomo, in a burst of irritation, quickly moved away from the person on top of her. WHOOSH! The papers scattered all over the floor.
Instantly, all three of them were stunned.
Hua Xiaomo’s face flushed crimson.
Qi Longbing didn’t speak. His handsome face darkened slightly. After a long moment, he spoke in a sarcastic tone, "No matter how upset you are that I don’t have time for you, was this really necessary? Do you know how much these documents are worth?"
It seemed he was suggesting that she was throwing a tantrum because she was unhappy about being interrupted, acting spoiled and misbehaving with their great President Qi. The entire insinuation seemed to hint that she, Hua Xiaomo, was somehow deeply infatuated with him, Qi Longbing.
"You..." Hua Xiaomo was beside herself with annoyance.
Ms. Zhang, sensing the explosive atmosphere, was about to bend down to pick up the documents.
"Leave them. You, get out," Qi Longbing said coldly.
Ms. Zhang didn’t dare linger and quickly left the office.
