A woman in a long dress, with a delicate makeup, however, pouted slightly with dissatisfaction and did not come in further. The girl’s name was Gu Anran, from a good family background and also a local of An City. Besides her good relationship with Ning Wan, Song Qiao’s only other close classmate was Gu Anran.
Sliding to answer and putting the phone to her ear while holding onto the laptop to avoid dropping it, "Anran, why are you calling at this hour?"
"Big Qiao, is your husband not home today?" There seemed to be some noise on Gu Anran’s end, with a hint of instrumental music passing through, her tone cautious.
Song Qiao paused, still maintaining a cheerful tone, "Yes, what’s up? Did you run into him?"
Since the incident in Night City, Gu Anran knew that she was married to Lu Jingchen, and she did not hide it, thankfully maintaining a good relationship.
"Big Qiao, I’m at a banquet and I just saw your husband. I thought I was seeing things at first."
Song Qiao was not too surprised, simply responding with a hum, quietly waiting for what Gu Anran would say next.
