The newcomers were a girl and two boys, all about the same age as Mu Shinian and Lu Yulin, all looking like high school students.
The girl was dressed in a white skirt, clutching an LV handbag, her entire outfit screamed expensive, her eyes would shift towards Mu Shinian, but when she looked at Lu Yulin, there was a clear display of competitiveness.
The trio blocked the way for Lu Yulin and Mu Shinian, with all five standing opposed. Although the scene looked somewhat odd, everyone noticed their young age and assumed they were just classmates chatting, so not many spared them a glance.
"Do you want something? If not, step aside, we’re in a hurry," Lu Yulin was the most impatient, his face showing disdain at the three blocking their path, his tone clearly reflecting his impatience.
Perhaps it was Lu Yulin’s tone that made them flush with embarrassment; one of the boys, unable to contain his anger, stepped forward to shield the girl, looking straight at Lu Yulin and retorted, "What are you two showing off for? Lu Yulin, you’re just riding on the coat-tails of your wealthy and powerful father. Without him, you’d be nothing but bluster; you’d have been beaten to death by now."
Lu Yulin and Mu Shinian exchanged glances, their eyes both reflecting displeasure and contempt, then they cursed in unison.
"Dammit, this idiot."
"Fuck, this dumbass."
Their voices were neither loud nor quiet, but loud enough for the trio opposite them to hear.
The boy turned beet red from the insult, his face filling up with anger, he gritted his teeth and demanded, "Say that again, you two."
Before Mu Shinian could retort, Lu Yulin already flashed his pearly whites in a smile and replied, "You want me to say it just because you asked? Wouldn’t that be a loss of face for me?"
The boy was so choked by Lu Yulin’s mockery that he was at a loss for words, his face blushing furiously.
However, Lu Yulin wasn’t about to let it go; looking at the boy, and then at the male and female behind him who were also showing a change in color, he hooked his lip and continued with a smile, "What’s with you? Am I wrong? You’re just a combo of an idiot and a moron. My dad being rich is because I had the talent to be born into the right family. Why don’t you find a dad as wealthy as mine? If you can’t, what are you ranting for? What if I do rely on my father’s money? You’re jealous because your dad has no money for you to rely on?"

I despise those self-righteous people who criticize others for riding on their fathers’ coattails; they’re not truly righteous, they’re just green with envy.
Mu Shinian thought, "..." That’s Lu Yulin alright, never at a disadvantage, he could talk a dead man into seeming alive, completely disregarding his opponents. If others targeted this, he had plenty of retorts up his sleeve.
Though bullying is wrong, this feeling... it’s exhilarating.
