Bai Ye felt her body tense, but…
Yu Jiuchong leaned in close and breathed in her scent. He grinned as he pulled her static body into a hug, as if she was a life-sized doll.
Bai Ye felt shivers up her spine and could not resist asking, “Can you release me?”
Her words were ignored as Yu Jiuchong’s hands continued to caress her head and back. His wandering hands pressed and pinched her body but did not travel to the forbidden regions. Bai Ye thanked her lucky stars.

“You…” Anger and shock flashed in Bai Ye’s eyes. Before she could react, her body was pressed against the tall frame of Yu Jiuchong.
The position they were in was undoubtedly suggestive.

There was an angry voice in Bai Ye’s heart demanding for the man’s arms to be amputated. She decided she would do it the next time they met. Her body was not a plaything to be fondled with.
Bai Ye bottled up the anger in her heart and replied amiably, “Why else would you choose me?”
The answer pleased Yu Jiuchong. He tightened his hold on Bai Ye, forcing her to feel his chest expanding as a peal of laughter escaped his throat. The low rumble of his laugh was sexy.
To make things worse, the soft silk fabric between them allowed Bai Ye to feel his defined muscles. His laughter was incredibly close to her face. She could even smell a distinct fragrance coming from the man.
Bai Ye willed herself to hold her breath. She did not want to fall under the devil’s spell.
When the laughter died down, Yu Jiuchong spoke into her ear, “I know you’re looking for Dark Spiritual Energy. At the final stage for the trials, there is an ancient tomb.”
The words caught Bai Ye by surprise.
