“Boss, why are you here?” Soul Destroyer’s voice came from inside.

“Yes, the brothers from Netherworld Palace have surrounded the villa, Sister-in-law’s safety is absolutely guaranteed,” Soul Destroyer stated firmly.

It was late, Ye Shikai didn’t know if the two ladies were asleep or not. He silently opened the door and tiptoed up to the second floor, then gently opened the bedroom door, only to find Su Qingyu lying on the bed reading some documents.
“Qingyu, you haven’t slept yet?” Ye Shikai lightly placed his coat on the table, speaking indifferently.

“You went to see her.” Su Qingyu lifted her head, her bright eyes looking at Ye Shikai with a hint of chill.
“She had some urgent matters and called me over,” Ye Shikai slipped into his pajamas and lay down in bed.
“What urgent matters?” Su Qingyu kept her eyes on the documents, speaking lightly.
“Do you really want to know?” Ye Shikai countered.
“Do you know Wang Qian?” Ye Shikai said softly, his eyes fixated on Su Qingyu’s face. Sure enough, when Wang Qian was mentioned, she hurriedly averted her gaze, unwilling to confront Ye Shikai—a classic sign of guilt.
“Liar,” Ye Shikai blurted out directly, “You know her, and she knows you, right?”
“Then do you know Wang Hai?” Ye Shikai continued to inquire.
“Can we… change the topic?” Su Qingyu’s tone sounded weak. Clearly, Ye Shikai had touched a sore spot.
“This topic was your choice,” Ye Shikai turned his head away, speaking faintly.
“Did Shiqi seek you out just for this?” After a brief silence, Su Qingyu asked again.
“Why didn’t you tell me about Wang Hai?” Ye Shikai didn’t respond but asked this question. Upon hearing it, Su Qingyu had guessed what Luo Shiqi had revealed.
“I’m going to sleep now, we can talk about it tomorrow,” Su Qingyu put the documents on the bedside table and turned off the lamp.
Maybe Ye Shikai had been somewhat redundant to ask. The reason Su Qingyu hid the fact that Wang Qian tried to persuade her to marry Wang Hai, one didn’t need to delve deep to understand; anyone with clear eyes could see—it was because she feared that Ye Shikai would overthink. “Okay, sir, please wait on the sofa over there, I will notify her immediately.”
