Ryu was so hard to read at that moment. Arya didn’t know what’s been running in his mind.
’Is he just jealous? Isn’t he overreacting over that small matter?’ She thought when Ryu still remained quiet and just focused on driving.
Then, his phone rang and he pressed the accept button on the car monitor to answer it. Arya saw the name Assistant Chen on the screen.
"Sir, everything is ready according to your instructions," she heard a man’s voice.
"Alright, I am on my way to the airport now," Ryu answered before he pressed the end button on the screen.
Arya suddenly panicked and hissed, "We are going to the airport? Where exactly are we going? Can you at least tell me where are you taking me?"
Ryu sighed and said with an arched brow, "Relax, I will just take you to a vacation, a week vacation. If you are worried about your family, just tell them you are out of town for work if you don’t want them to know that you’re with your boyfriend."
"But I haven’t agreed to it! Why do you always decide things on your own? Can you at least ask if it’s okay with me or not?" Arya complained. She had just arrived from another country. She wanted to spend as much time as possible with Reese and her mom and also monitor the progress of her dad’s trial.
Then, Ryu suddenly stopped the car, turned his head towards her and looked at her directly.
"Do you trust me?" He asked in a serious tone. Arya didn’t know why but she nodded unconsciously.
"Then, give me a week. I just need that one week to lock you up, okay?" He said and this time he was half smiling.
Arya creased her forehead. "Lock me up? What do you mean by that?" She asked with a confused look.
"Lock you up beside me for a week and after that, I will let you decide things on your own. Just this time let me do things my way. I just need one week." Ryu muttered, with his face unreadable.
Although Arya was still confused, she no longer asked for more questions, instead, she just sighed and commented nonchalantly, "Alright, maybe it’s better to be just locked up anyway!"
She had mixed emotions for everything that was going on in her life during this short time. Being locked up might not be a bad idea at all, and maybe, just maybe, it was just what she needed right now.
Then, she blew some air on her forehead just like a child, and Ryu couldn’t help but laugh at that.
"I don’t have any clothes with me. Can we stop at my apartment for a while, so I can at least get some clothes?" She said out of the blue.
"That’s okay, you look better without clothes anyway," Ryu commented laughing.
Arya pouted her lips and murmured, "Pervert, if you don’t want to, then you have to buy me new clothes!"
"Alright, let’s do that then," Ryu replied before he sunk back into his thought again.
Then, she looked at him and suddenly said, "I don’t understand you. Just a moment ago you were so serious, then you were laughing, and now you are suddenly quiet again. Are you crazy?"
She saw him smirk, before he answered, "Yeah, you are right. I think I am going crazy. And you are the one responsible."
Yes, he was crazy right now. It was the first thing that came to his mind. He was going to lock Arya up until he sorted things out. Then, once again, his expression dimmed and Arya noticed that.
’Why does it feel like something is bothering him?’ She asked inwardly. She chose not to comment any more on his last remarks.
Suddenly her phone beeped. It was a message from Rita, reminding her not to do anything stupid since her family was still under their surveillance. Then, another messaged came, "Hang in there for a while. After your Dad’s trial, we will pull you out from Ryu’s sight."
Arya’s face crumpled as she stared at her phone absentmindedly. She wanted to cry out loud and throw her phone away.
Ryu noticed Arya’s sudden gloominess that was mixed with a troubled expression while she stared blankly at her phone. His face darkened as he started the car and went back on the road.
