Chapter 8
It was about a week after Mei Koi successfully escaped from the polices grasps when her best friend, Ali Maret, confronted her .
"Mei . . . can we . . . uhh . . . maybe . . join the Talent~fest together?? Please!?"
Mei Koi sighed . She had already told Ali that it was impossible .
The Talent~fest was an event that was held yearly . It was created so people from all over could showcase their talents or hobby's .
Quite a few famous people started their career out by Talent~fest actually .
Ever since they were still in the orphanage, it was one of Ali's dreams to become famous, but obviously, that couldn't happen, at least for a while . There was no way Fade Zi would allow that . He always said "Never let anyone find out you are alive . Do NOT draw attention to yourself's AT ALL!! DO YOU HEAR ME?!?!"
Mei Koi really hated the fact that they can't really join Talent~fest, since it disappointed Ali so much .
If they did Talent~fest, they would obviously be noticed . They both had many talents beside hacking . They could do taeqwondo along with several other forms of martial arts . They coud also paint, sing, dance, act, play the piano and almost every single musical instrument, and of course, they could hack .
They were the best at hacking by far, but every skill they know was also mastered to their fullest possibilty .
The only reason why Fade made them learn all of this was because he said "it would help them blend in" both of them had no idea how it could help them "blend in" since their talents really made them stand out . Maybe it was because if they were really popular, no one would think that both of them were the Hacker X?! Honestly this question stumped them both .
Seeing her best friends hesitant look, Ali Maret spike up "Do you Remember . . Fade Zi said that our talents will help up . . blend in . . . right?? Well we should try it out and see if it works! There's no way anyone would know that we were hackers . . . . and if something goes wrong, we can do what we do best!"
'Wow . She really is persistent . I guess I will listen to her whole speech . . . maybe it would be good for us to try something new and experience life??' Mei Koi also wanted to try it out, but she was the more rational one of the two . It was her job to think things through before doing anything risky (even though she failed because she didn't realize the CEO was watching her every move in the first chapter haha . . )
"What exactly do we do best?"
"Run away and hide of course!! No one has ever found out where we hide, and we're always running away from our problems!" Ali gave Mei the puppy dog eyes .
Ouch . That was a jab to Mei's side . Way to make Mei Koi feel bad!
