October got a cutter from her drawer and cut open the seal. She nonchalantly pulled out the document and scanned through its contents. However much calm she usually was, a crack showed on her calm eyes.
Maybe because of her pregnancy or because of Lexus who constantly made her all jittery and put in a difficult spot that would always end up with her bursting into emotions and expressions she never thought she had. It was like the time she spent with him will be full of first times and full of surprises. But either way, the stoic Ice Director was slowly melting in this summer hot feeling.
"What is this?" October exclaimed as she stared wide-eyed at the documents on her hands. She had suspicions that it was her grandpa that made some trouble with Lexus’ company but...just what is this?

October let out a really heavy sigh of helplessness and got her phone to dial her grandpa’s number.
After the second ring, it got connected. Before the other end could say anything, Ocrober cut them off saying, "Grandpa, what’s the meaning of this?"
"Good morning, young miss." Assistant Ke politely greeted.
After October heard Assistant Ke, she then heard some loud shuffling from the background and then, "Granddaughter, why did you call?"
Grandpa He’s voice were filled with laughter, seeming as carefree as he could ever be.
"You already know why I am calling you." October retorted with a from on her face as she then glanced at the documents on the table.
Grandpa He laughed delightedly and said, "Now, now, Lan’er. How do you like my gift?"
His voice was just so full of spirit and smiles and October doesn’t know if she would be angry at him or not. It was frustrating.
"Grandpa, this is too much. I can’t accept this." She said helplessly as she pinched the area between her brows.
"Why not?" Grandpa He asked with a whining voice. Why won’t she accept this small gift he gave? Was it too little?
October couldn’t help but sigh at how unreasonable her grandpa was before she helplessly said, "Grandpa, you bought 20% of shares from Lexus’ company for a really huge amount. You offered those shareholders twice or thrice the amount of the actual price on the stock market. You are being too wasteful of money. Just because you have a little too much money doesn’t mean that you can spend it like that. Also, the person who you wanted to go against is my husband. So, isn’t this indirectly saying that you’re going up against me?"
"What? No.."
"Grandpa, don’t interrupt." October coldly snapped as she cut off Grandpa He’s words for the first time. "Grandpa, you are making things difficult for the people that are working for you, especially Grandpa Ke. Also, I can’t accept this, Grandpa."
"Lan’er!" Grandpa He whined again. "I am just worried about you. I don’t know him that well and my old heart just can’t bear the fact that you might get yourself be bullied by the likes of him."
October’s heart thumped. She wanted to still her heart but she just couldn’t ignore her grandpa’s worried tone and the prick of the word "old" from her own grandpa. It was also a at this time that she remembered her grandpa’s white streaks of hair and the wrinkles on his face.
Noticing that her granddaughter fell silent, Grandpa He’s eyes glinted in mischievousness and a victory smile crept onto his lips make his old face stretch and wrinkles were formed. Assistant Ke sighed helplessly at the sight of his fox-like master. He really was such a mischievous man even to the point of using such tricks into making his granddaugter fall into his scheme. Tch. Tch. He was a sly man through and through.
Assistant Ke then shook his head and sighed in his heart. Cunning old man...
"Well then, I’m sorry for calling you all of a sudden, grandpa. Thank you for this gift. I have to go. Take care." October said without waiting for her grandpa to say anything and ended the call.
