Shen Yun’an didn’t say anything to Shen Yi, whatever the reason, failing to secure the cooperation meant he had neglected his duties at work.
But the purpose of his call wasn’t to assign blame. Shen Yun’an’s tone was a bit brusque as he said, "Tell Wanwan that she shouldn’t blame herself for this, it’s not her fault."
When Shen Yun’an found out about what had happened yesterday, that his daughter-in-law had been injured and was still worried about what to do if the documents were lost.

On the other end of the phone, Shen Yun’an was taken aback, obviously not expecting his daughter-in-law to be listening in.

"Dad, I understand, thank you." Ye Wanwan hurriedly replied.
Shen Yun’an continued, "It’s the end of the year, and everyone’s busy. Wait for your mother and mother-in-law to come back, and then we’ll have a family dinner together."
"Okay." Ye Wanwan readily agreed, not daring to object at all.
After hanging up the phone, Shen Yi curiously asked her, "Why are you so scared of Dad?"

Shen Yi got into the car and left home in the cover of night, while Ye Wanwan, after watching the car drive away, still sent Shen Yi a message on her phone.
"Don’t work too late, come back early."
After sending the message, Ye Wanwan switched out of WeChat to binge-watch her show, and when a new message came in later, she didn’t bother to check it.
Half an hour later, a car stopped in front of a private club, and Assistant Chen rushed forward to open the car door, and Shen Yi stepped down from the car.
"Manager Shen." Assistant Chen called out.
Shen Yi nodded slightly, and began walking into the club.
