After Ye Zhenlin’s family left, Su Xiangyi asked Ye Zhenhua, "What did you say?"

Ye Wanwan nodded, then continued with her meal, as if the matter had passed.
After dinner, the two went to see a newly released movie and only went back to their respective homes after it finished.
However, at a little past one in the morning that same night, Ye Wanwan was awakened by the vibration of her cellphone.
Perhaps because of the previous night’s incident, Ye Wanwan didn’t pick up the phone in a daze when the vibrations woke her up this time.
Instead, she became fully alert, switched on her bedroom light with a stretch of her hand, and bearing the discomfort in her eyes, she took her phone from the nightstand.
Seeing the string of jumbled numbers displayed on her phone, Ye Wanwan already had a hunch.
She took a deep breath, braced herself, then slid her finger across the answer button and simultaneously hit record.
