When Shen Yi finished his bath and came out, Ye Wanwan was already lying in bed, asleep.
Shen Yi walked over and carefully removed the mobile phone from her palm, placing it on the nightstand.
Then Shen Yi bent down to gaze at Ye Wanwan’s peaceful sleeping face, seemingly unable to tear his eyes away, just watching her.
As he watched, Shen Yi couldn’t help but reach out his hand, gently placing it on Ye Wanwan’s fair and tender cheek, caressing it softly.
It was in that moment that Shen Yi truly felt everything was real, that Ye Wanwan was really by his side.
With a slight smile on his lips, Shen Yi tiptoed into bed, turned off the light, and instinctively pulled Ye Wanwan into his embrace.
Ye Wanwan seemed to sense something and found a comfortable position in Shen Yi’s arms, then drifted back to sleep.
Shen Yi still didn’t go to the company, taking advantage of the rare leisure time to stay in bed with Ye Wanwan until they woke up naturally.
Afterward, the two of them lay in bed, being affectionate with each other for a while before finally getting up to wash up.
"Where do you want to go today?" Shen Yi asked Ye Wanwan very directly.
He would spend the day with Ye Wanwan, but he had to leave for D Country the following day. The work there was progressing smoothly, but it would probably take some more time before everything was on track.
Just thinking about separating from Ye Wanwan again made Shen Yi feel a touch of melancholy deep inside.
"I don’t know," Ye Wanwan shook her head, not knowing where she wanted to go.
Shen Yi passed the cup filled with water to Ye Wanwan, "How about we go see a movie?"
Shen Yi didn’t have much experience dating, so he could only imitate what others did—eating, shopping, watching movies.
"Okay," Ye Wanwan nodded in agreement, having no objections to Shen Yi’s somewhat mundane plan.
So the two of them got ready, went downstairs for breakfast, and after eating, they headed straight out.
They first strolled aimlessly through the mall, and when it was noon, Ye Wanwan chose a Thai restaurant there. Although Shen Yi wasn’t fond of it, he still tried it with Ye Wanwan.
After eating, they went to the cinema to watch a movie.
The movie wasn’t particularly captivating, but neither Shen Yi nor Ye Wanwan fell asleep; it seemed they both cherished these last moments together.
Since it was still early after the movie, Shen Yi took Ye Wanwan to a well-reputed Western restaurant.
The two enjoyed a romantic candlelight dinner before Shen Yi finally took Ye Wanwan home.
Ye Wanwan had finished her bath and was sitting on the bed. When she saw Shen Yi come out of the bathroom, she hurriedly said, "I’ve packed your luggage for you!"
While Shen Yi was bathing, she had quietly gone to the walk-in closet and packed his luggage.
Shen Yi didn’t speak but merely walked toward Ye Wanwan. He always felt that she didn’t seem to care about him that much.
Otherwise, how could she be so calm about his departure?
Ye Wanwan, still excited, kept talking, "I’ll take you to the airport early tomorrow morning!"
Shen Yi didn’t speak, he just snapped off the light, plunging the bedroom into darkness.
And the next second, Ye Wanwan was grabbed by Shen Yi and kissed firmly.
Shen Yi was originally holding Ye Wanwan’s hand, but at some point, their fingers became tightly interlocked. Ye Wanwan, kissed into a passionate daze, tilted her head back subconsciously, responding to Shen Yi.
