Ye Wanwan arrived at the company for work, and just as she reached the office door, she heard Yu Qiqi’s voice coming from inside.
Yu Qiqi was currently chatting with everyone, very excitedly discussing her male idols—no, it would be more accurate to say several of her male idols.
"They disbanded when I was in elementary school. I never imagined that after so many years, they’d be able to perform on the same stage again. It’s truly shocking!"
Yu Qiqi kept repeating those few sentences, but she was just too excited, repeating the story to each person who entered the office.
When Yu Qiqi saw Ye Wanwan come in, she got even more excited, "Wanwan!"
Ye Wanwan was so startled that she kept moving back, but she couldn’t avoid her in the end.
"I’m going to see my male idols soon, I’m so happy!" Yu Qiqi hugged Ye Wanwan and wouldn’t stop shaking her.
It wasn’t long before Ye Wanwan felt dizzy and quickly said, "Calm down a bit, will you?"
"But I just can’t calm down!" Yu Qiqi shook her even more vigorously.
Ye Wanwan gave up struggling until Yu Qiqi finally let go of her.
Afterwards, Yu Qiqi dragged over a chair to sit beside Ye Wanwan and started making plans for the trip next week.
"We’ll fly there in the morning, go to the hotel to drop off our luggage, then hang out nearby. In the evening, we’ll go to the concert, have some late-night food after it ends, and then return to the hotel to rest. The next day we’ll sleep until about ten, have lunch, and then come back!"
Yu Qiqi had quickly planned out the entire itinerary and then asked Ye Wanwan, "What do you think?"
Ye Wanwan had no objections and just nodded noncommittally.
Meanwhile, Yu Qiqi started booking flights and hotels, preparing comprehensively for next week’s trip.
Time flew, and it was the day before the concert.
When work ended, Yu Qiqi reminded Ye Wanwan, time and again, not to be late for the early morning flight tomorrow.
Ye Wanwan kept nodding in agreement, "Don’t worry, I won’t be late."
"See you tomorrow then!" The closer it got to the concert, the more excited Yu Qiqi became.
Although Ye Wanwan found Yu Qiqi’s exuberant mood a bit overwhelming, she never looked down on such behavior.
Everyone has their own passions and interests. She might not share them, but she couldn’t deny them.
Ye Wanwan went home, had dinner as usual, then played with Taozhi for a while before going upstairs.
As soon as she stepped into the bedroom, Ye Wanwan’s phone rang. It was a call from Su Xiangyi, and without much thought, she answered, "Mom."
"Wanwan, are you coming home for dinner tomorrow? Or are you going to your in-laws’?" Su Xiangyi asked over the phone.
"Huh?" Ye Wanwan was taken aback. She had plans with Yu Qiqi to go to S City for a concert tomorrow and hadn’t planned to have dinner at home.
Ye Wanwan was about to explain when she heard Su Xiangyi continue, "Otherwise, our two families could meet up and have a meal together."
"After all, it’s your birthday, and your father and I still want to spend it with you."
"My birthday?" Ye Wanwan’s eyes widened in shock.
That’s right! Her birthday was coming up soon!
"Yes, could it be you’ve forgotten your own birthday?" Su Xiangyi asked.
"Uh." Ye Wanwan didn’t know what to say; she had indeed completely forgotten about it.
"How busy must you be these days? You’ve even forgotten your own birthday," Su Xiangyi expressed doubtfully.
