"What do you mean it sounds like my voice! What if it wasn’t me?" Ye Wanwan was relentless and continued to probe.
Assured that Ye Wanwan hadn’t hurt herself in the fall, Shen Yi breathed a sigh of relief, then looked into Ye Wanwan’s eyes again and said seriously, "If it wasn’t you, I would just close the door again."
"Hmph!" Ye Wanwan snorted coldly, "Who knows whether you would really close the door or not?"
Shen Yi had guessed she was probably picking a quarrel because she had fallen so embarrassingly in front of him, so he didn’t argue with Ye Wanwan over it.
Shen Yi lifted his hand to pinch Ye Wanwan’s nose, then took a couple of steps outside, brought in Ye Wanwan’s suitcase that had been left at the door, and then pulled Ye Wanwan inside.
No sooner had he pulled her in and closed the door, Shen Yi couldn’t restrain himself and pinned her against it. Like an inexperienced young boy, he kissed Ye Wanwan fervently.
Ye Wanwan, with her head slightly tilted back, was forced to endure Shen Yi’s somewhat rough kiss.
Just when Ye Wanwan thought she was going to pass out if she didn’t breathe soon, Shen Yi finally moved away from her lips, but he still held her and didn’t let go.
"Why is it always so sudden?" Shen Yi’s words carried a light chuckle, filled with surprise and a touch of helplessness.
Ye Wanwan leaned into Shen Yi’s embrace, took a good while to recover, then whined softly, "It was a surprise inspection."
"Heh." Thinking back to Ye Wanwan’s mention of "special service" outside the door, Shen Yi couldn’t help but find it amusing.
He held Ye Wanwan, rubbed his face against her neck, and asked in a deep voice, "What kind of special service?"
"What kind of special service do you want?" Ye Wanwan countered, feigning nonchalance.
Shen Yi chuckled softly, "Any kind is fine?"
Ye Wanwan, not as thick-skinned as Shen Yi, was already blushing and now felt utterly embarrassed, raising her hand to push him away.
However, Shen Yi didn’t give Ye Wanwan a chance to push him away and embraced her once more for another kiss.
In the living room, in the bedroom, a scene of romance unfolded.
By the time everything had settled, Ye Wanwan’s eyes were closed, and she had no energy left.
Shen Yi, on the other hand, looked energetic, showing no signs of tiredness from the lack of sleep at three or four in the morning.
Shen Yi turned off the lights, held Ye Wanwan in his arms, and couldn’t resist kissing her forehead. Ye Wanwan frowned and mumbled, asking Shen Yi not to disturb her rest.
"Alright, I won’t bother you anymore, go to sleep," Shen Yi held Ye Wanwan tighter, his chin resting on the top of her head, and contentedly fell asleep.
When Ye Wanwan woke up groggily, her mind felt heavy. She propped herself up from the bed, then looked around the dim bedroom, confused.
It took her a while to get up from the bed. She didn’t turn on the lights or put on shoes; she just groped her way out in the dim room.
When she opened the bedroom door, the brightness outside made Ye Wanwan squint slightly, and she instinctively looked towards the direction of the sound.
In the open kitchen, Shen Yi, dressed in home wear and donning an apron, was preparing breakfast.
"Shen Yi," Ye Wanwan sighed softly, calling out feebly.
Shen Yi, hearing her voice, looked up, then turned off the stove and quickly walked toward Ye Wanwan.
