Shen Yi’s eyelids cracked open slightly, and he watched the familiar figure disappear from in front of him. He wanted to call out to her, to make her stay, but it seemed like he couldn’t make a sound at all.
He also wanted to reach out and grab her, to prevent her from leaving him, but his arms felt as if they weighed a thousand pounds and he couldn’t lift them at all.
Desolation filled Shen Yi’s heart, and tears slipped from the corners of his eyes.
Shen Yi thought to himself, if she was going to leave, then he didn’t want to wake up anymore, he had had enough of days without her.
He wanted to go find her, only he didn’t know if she was still willing to see him.
But whether she was willing or not, he wanted to find her!
Shen Yi had been in a coma, but the IV had finished, and his fever had already subsided. The nurse said he should be fine once he woke up.
At first, Ye Wanwan waited patiently, but by four or five in the afternoon, Shen Yi still showed no signs of waking up.
Ye Wanwan reached out to feel Shen Yi’s forehead to make sure his fever had truly gone down, but why hadn’t Shen Yi woken up after so long?
Ye Wanwan felt uneasy deep down, left the ward to find a nurse, who then summoned the doctor.

"Zhouzhou, are you worried about Daddy too?" Ye Wanwan forced a smile, placing her hand on her slightly protruding belly.
It was as if the little one inside her really heard her, and he moved again.
Ye Wanwan looked at Shen Yi lying on the hospital bed and spoke with a mix of worry and helplessness, "Zhouzhou is worried about you too, aren’t you going to wake up soon?"
The person lying in the bed still didn’t make any movement; if the doctors hadn’t reassured her several times that he was just very tired and would wake up after a good rest, Ye Wanwan would have been truly frightened.
Ye Wanwan continued to gently stroke her belly, and after a while, Zhouzhou calmed down.
As night fell, Shen Yi still had not woken up, and Ye Wanwan grew increasingly restless.
The doctor came to examine him once again, as they too were concerned that the patient hadn’t woken up for so long, but the examination results were all normal again.
The patient must have been too tired normally, and the sudden high fever had been too much for his body to take, so now the fever had subsided, he was still in a coma.
