Shen Yi took out his phone and called Ye Wanwan, who answered with a very cheerful tone.

The two chatted for a few more sentences and then hung up the phone. Shen Yi instructed his assistant, "Go to the police station."
"Understood, President Shen," the assistant said.
When Shen Yi arrived at the police station, the man who Uncle Zhang and the others had brought in that afternoon had finished his interrogation.
As expected, the police hadn’t gotten any useful information from him, even though Shen Yi was sure that this matter definitely involved He Qingyun or Ye Shiying.
But without evidence, it was all just speculation.
At the police station, Shen Yi discussed the recent developments with the officer in charge of the case, and then he left the police station.
Shen Yi didn’t disturb Ye Wanwan, instead, he messaged Uncle Zhang to ask for their current location, and then had his assistant drive him there before letting his assistant off for the day.
Meanwhile, Shen Yi waited outside the restaurant where Ye Wanwan was dining until he saw Ye Wanwan and her friends come out.
Watching from afar as they came out, Shen Yi got out of the car, making Ye Wanwan spot him immediately.
Ye Wanwan waved at Shen Yi, and he gently smiled back at her.
Off to the side, Song Ziyi began to tease them again. Ye Wanwan pretended not to hear and quickly walked toward Shen Yi.
Seeing Ye Wanwan hurrying over, Shen Yi couldn’t help frowning and reminded her as he walked toward her, "Walk slower."
They hadn’t estimated the distance correctly, and after taking just a few steps, they were together. Shen Yi, holding Ye Wanwan and frowning slightly with a serious tone, cautioned, "Be careful next time, don’t walk so fast."
Ye Wanwan just giggled without saying a word. Seeing this, Shen Yi frowned, seeming ready to give Ye Wanwan a proper scolding, when Song Ziyi interjected, "President Shen, do a check, please. We’ve returned Wanwan to you safe and sound."
Shen Yi then stopped and instead greeted Ye Wanwan’s friends.
After a brief exchange of pleasantries, they were ready to leave. Before leaving, Song Ziyi gave Ye Wanwan a look, to which Ye Wanwan raised her eyebrows slightly, smiling with a bit of triumph.
Shen Yi saw this and shook his head somewhat helplessly.
On the way back, Shen Yi didn’t bring up the issue of Ye Wanwan walking too fast again, instead, he listened to Ye Wanwan talking about what they did and talked about that day.
It was just some valueless small talk, but Shen Yi listened attentively, his gaze on Ye Wanwan conveying an indescribable emotion.
Yet Ye Wanwan didn’t notice anything amiss and kept chattering nonstop.
After she had said everything she wanted to say, Ye Wanwan suddenly asked, "Did you know that Uncle Zhang and the others caught someone taking sneaky pictures today?"
