"You actually came!" Xun Lehan looked at Ye Wanwan standing at the doorway of the private room, utterly shocked, not even knowing what to say to express her excited heart.
When Ye Wanwan said she would come this morning, Xun Lehan thought she was just joking.
After all, Ye Wanwan was several months pregnant by now. Even though the party she was throwing was a formal affair, with nothing inappropriate happening, Ye Wanwan was a pregnant woman, after all!
Who would allow a pregnant woman to go clubbing?
Ye Wanwan rolled her eyes at Xun Lehan, "Am I the kind of person who doesn’t keep her word?"
After speaking, Ye Wanwan looked around the private room and then sat down next to Zhang Xiaowei.
Today, Zhang Xiaowei wasn’t sitting next to Xun Lehan but was in the corner instead. When she saw Ye Wanwan sit down by her, Zhang Xiaowei couldn’t help but frown.
Yet Ye Wanwan sat there unperturbed, while Xun Lehan walked over from the other side and looked down at Ye Wanwan from above, "I don’t mind you being here, but if something happens, I won’t be responsible, alright!"
"Hilarious, something happens to me at your party, and you think you can just brush it off?" Ye Wanwan looked at Xun Lehan with a face full of sarcasm.
Xun Lehan was so angry that she blurted out furiously, "Then get out of here! Don’t cause trouble!"
"You’re the one who should get out of here! Surely, nothing will happen if you’re not here!" Ye Wanwan wasn’t there to find her and didn’t want to waste her breath talking to her.
Xun Lehan turned to Zhang Xiaowei, "Watch out for her! It’d be best to keep your distance, so you don’t get blamed if something happens!"
Zhang Xiaowei glanced at Xun Lehan, then turned to look at Ye Wanwan, but said nothing.
Afterward, Xun Lehan went off to drink with others and didn’t seem to care about Ye Wanwan sitting in the corner with Zhang Xiaowei.
Ye Wanwan sat there, looking at Zhang Xiaowei several times, which also left Zhang Xiaowei impatient, and she said with slight annoyance, "What do you want to say?"
"I..." Before Ye Wanwan could speak, Xun Lehan yelled into the microphone, startling Ye Wanwan so much that she shuddered, and the baby in her stomach seemed to be frightened too, kicking restlessly inside her.
Ye Wanwan quickly caressed her belly, murmuring, "Zhouzhou, be good, don’t be scared."
It took a while, but Zhouzhou finally calmed down, and Ye Wanwan looked at Zhang Xiaowei again, "Shall we talk outside?"
Zhang Xiaowei hesitated just slightly before nodding in agreement.
Ye Wanwan stepped out of the private room, and Uncle Zhang was waiting outside the room. He immediately approached, "Madam."
"It’s nothing, just a chat," said Ye Wanwan.
She then looked back and forth, "This way?"
She remembered there was a large balcony behind here, which was more convenient for the two of them to talk.
Zhang Xiaowei didn’t speak, just started walking towards the end of the hallway.
Standing on the balcony at the end of the corridor, the cold breeze blew past, and Ye Wanwan subconsciously shrank a little.
Zhang Xiaowei asked in a quiet voice, "What exactly do you want to say?"
"Xun Lehan is getting married, do you really plan to let her marry someone who doesn’t like her at all?" Ye Wanwan was no longer beating around the bush.
Zhang Xiaowei slightly frowned and turned to look at Ye Wanwan with a hint of wariness in her eyes, "What do you mean?"
"Exactly what I said. Although I’ve been bickering with Xun Lehan for so many years, there’s no deep-seated hatred," Ye Wanwan said, pretending to be casual.
