"I hated that she always demanded and restricted me under the guise of doing what was best for me. Whenever I wanted to resist, she’d become hysterical, like a lunatic; I didn’t want to face someone who had lost all reason."
"But, but I didn’t even get to see her for the last time."
"The last thing she said to me was to take good care of myself."
"She must have been very, very upset then."
"Even her last wish to see me was denied."
Shen Wenzhou tried hard to control his tears, but they were beyond his control; he had refused that woman her last request to see him one more time.
At this moment, he didn’t even dare to call her "Mom." He felt he didn’t deserve to be her son.
