In fact, Ye Wanwan really did overthink things. It was true that Shen Yi hadn’t been coming to the company much recently, but he hadn’t been neglecting his duties.

There was also a small card on top of the gift box. Ye Wanwan picked it up; it was a card written by Shen Yi himself, with just a simple "Merry Christmas."
Without even going to wash up first, Ye Wanwan sat on the bed and began to open the gift.
Upon opening it, it was yet another bottle of perfume. Ye Wanwan carefully inspected it but couldn’t find any brand marks; it seemed to be a bottle of privately customized perfume.
Ye Wanwan brought the perfume to her nose and sniffed; the top note was a faint pear fragrance. She couldn’t help but lift the corners of her mouth, her face alight with a smile.
Ye Wanwan put down the perfume, didn’t wash up, and left the bedroom, heading toward the study next door.
As expected, she saw Shen Yi seated at the office table working. Ye Wanwan stood in the doorway without entering, but Shen Yi had already looked up and seen her. Seeing the figure standing at the door, Shen Yi’s face showed a gentle smile, "Awake?"
Ye Wanwan nodded, "Good morning."
Shen Yi took off his glasses and set them aside, then stood up and walked towards Ye Wanwan, who stood still waiting for him to approach.
Reaching Ye Wanwan, Shen Yi extended his hand to smooth her hair. Speaking softly, Ye Wanwan said, "Thank you for the Christmas gift."
Shen Yi gave a light laugh, leaned forward for a kiss, aiming for Ye Wanwan’s red lips, which she dodged, "I haven’t brushed my teeth yet!"
"I don’t mind," Shen Yi said quietly, before leaning in again, and the two shared a kiss in the doorway.
In the end, it was Ye Wanwan who, concerned that someone might come up and see them, hurriedly pushed Shen Yi away.
"Alright, go freshen up first, then we can go downstairs for breakfast," Shen Yi said with a smile.
Blushing, Ye Wanwan gave Shen Yi a look and then turned towards the bedroom to go.
Shen Yi chuckled and followed her.
The couple spent the morning at home and agreed to go out for dinner, so after having lunch, Ye Wanwan took a nap in the afternoon.
When she woke up in the afternoon, Ye Wanwan enthusiastically started to do her makeup and change clothes.
Shen Yi watched her put on makeup without a word, letting Ye Wanwan have her way, but when it came to changing clothes, he spoke up, "That one’s not quite right."
