By the middle of May, little Zhouzhou turned two months old and it was time for vaccination.
Shen Yi had cleared his schedule for the entire day just so he could accompany Ye Wanwan and take little Zhouzhou for his vaccination.
The baby had received his first vaccine on the day he was born. That day, Shen Yi’s attention was entirely on Ye Wanwan, with several elders looking after Zhouzhou, so Shen Yi didn’t witness how Zhouzhou’s vaccination went.
Zhouzhou received his second vaccination two days before he turned one month old. The doctor said it would have been fine even if it were two days later.
However, Ye Wanwan had heard somewhere that delaying the vaccine was not good for the baby, so she insisted on following the schedule set by the hospital.
It just so happened that Ye Wanwan had not finished her confinement and Zhouzhou had not yet turned one month old. Shen Yi somehow managed to arrange for the doctor to come to their home to administer the vaccine.
The doctor said he would come in the morning. Ye Wanwan had been up several times at night to feed the baby and was very tired, failing to wake up in time.
It’s said that little Zhouzhou was incredibly brave and didn’t cry at all during the process. Ye Wanwan found it hard to believe, but Shen Yi swore it was true and even the nanny confirmed it.
Ye Wanwan reluctantly believed it.
Now that Zhouzhou was two months old and due for another vaccination, this time Shen Yi and Ye Wanwan planned to take him out together.
After all, apart from the day of his full-month celebration, the farthest place Zhouzhou had been was the villa’s small garden. As Zhouzhou was growing up, they naturally wanted to introduce him to the outside world.
"Is everything ready? Did we forget anything?" Already at the entrance changing shoes and ready to go out, Ye Wanwan asked once again, doubtful.
Shen Yi, holding Zhouzhou, was already outside, "I’ve checked; we’ve got everything."
Taking a small child out was no simple matter. Shen Yi had asked the nanny early in the morning and then packed a backpack with all the things the baby might need when out.
Ye Wanwan nodded, "Right, you’ve checked, and you certainly wouldn’t leave anything behind."
Having said that, Ye Wanwan put on her shoes and walked out, then turned to Shen Yi and said, "Let’s go!"
Shen Yi, watching her serious expression, couldn’t help but smile helplessly, "We’re just taking Zhouzhou out for a vaccination, it’s not a big deal."
Ye Wanwan glared at Shen Yi, "This is Zhouzhou’s first time out, of course I’m nervous!"
"It’s fine, you’re just not used to it yet. After a few more trips, you’ll be able to take Zhouzhou out shopping with you." Shen Yi continued to comfort her.
"Hmph!" Ye Wanwan couldn’t be bothered to respond to Shen Yi. If she really took Zhouzhou out for shopping, she’d have to hold him the entire time without letting go, otherwise she wouldn’t feel at ease; how could she possibly focus on shopping?
"Alright, it’s getting late, let’s go." Shen Yi said as he carried Zhouzhou and walked ahead.
Ye Wanwan hurriedly followed. Uncle Zhang had already opened the car door and was waiting. Ye Wanwan wasn’t in a rush; she waited until Shen Yi sat down with Zhouzhou before she got into the car as well.
Upon arriving at the hospital, Ye Wanwan and Shen Yi were actually unsure of where exactly to go for the vaccination.
Fortunately, it was a private hospital. As long as the appointment was scheduled, there would be a dedicated doctor to provide service, preventing them from aimlessly wandering around.
