Before Ye Wanwan could explain, Wu Yaxi was the first to speak up, "Because each child is different, some children don’t like to eat, some don’t like kindergarten, and Zhouzhou just doesn’t like talking, right, Auntie?"
Ye Wanwan started laughing, "Right, Zhouzhou is shy and doesn’t like to talk."
"I like to talk! The teacher says I talk too much!" Xiao Yu declared confidently.
Zhang Xuehan’s face turned red, and she said from behind, "You even have the nerve to say it!"
Xiao Yu turned to look at his mother, his face a picture of innocence as he asked, "Why should I be embarrassed?"
Zhang Xuehan laughed in exasperation, "You’re chatterbox all day long and you love to jump around. Your teacher has already suggested I take you to check if you have ADHD!"
"What’s ADHD?" Xiao Yu asked, looking bewildered.
"Shut your mouth!" Zhang Xuehan couldn’t be bothered to waste words on him.
Xiao Yu pouted, then ran off to talk to Wu Yaxi.
Ye Wanwan asked Zhouzhou, "Do you want to come down and play with the other kids?"
Zhouzhou shook his head, obediently leaning on Ye Wanwan’s shoulder.
"Are you sure you don’t want to go play with them? Your brother and sister can play games with you," Ye Wanwan continued coaxing.
Zhouzhou still shook his head, this time not even giving Ye Wanwan a glance.
Ye Wanwan had no choice but to hold him. Su Tong and Zhang Xuehan saw it all, but since it was only their first meeting and they weren’t familiar with each other, it wasn’t appropriate to ask intrusive questions.
So they just chatted casually, feeling somewhat awkward, waiting for the last mother and daughter to arrive.

Ye Wanwan could no longer hold Zhouzhou, so she let him stand and crouched down beside him instead.
