"Ye Wanwan just wanted to give Zhouzhou the right to choose, to respect the child. Zhouzhou just casually pointed at a room, that’s all."
"Exactly, and since Su Tong said to let them choose first, if no one chooses, are they supposed to stand there all night?"
"Who were the fans making sarcastic comments just now? Clean up your own house! Don’t embarrass your own!"
There were fans from all sides in the barrage, all very combat-ready, but only Ye Wanwan had no fanbase, and yet, Zhouzhou was so well-behaved and adorable.
Whether or not they were fans of Ye Wanwan was one thing, but picking on a little baby in the barrage inevitably brought on the backlash from fans with an overprotective aunt’s heart.
"Alright, what about you guys? Not choosing? If you don’t choose, I’ll just pick randomly," Su Tong looked at the remaining two.
Soon, everyone had arranged their rooms and had brought their luggage inside.
By this time, however, it was already six o’clock. They had all set out in the morning and had airplane meals for lunch, so they were all quite hungry by now.
Zhang Xuehan called out to everyone, and they went downstairs to start preparing dinner.
Ye Wanwan had brought gifts for the few children, and she let Zhouzhou distribute them after going downstairs.
Though Zhouzhou didn’t say anything, he still carried three little bags over, ready to hand them out.
Zhao Zhenzhen was the closest, so Zhouzhou first took it over to her. The little girl seemed unhappy for some reason, pouting her lips.
Zhao Zhenzhen didn’t take it initially, so Zhouzhou pushed it forward a bit more, clearly indicating that he wanted to give it to her.
However, it was Zhouzhou’s act of moving forward that somehow triggered the little girl, and Zhao Zhenzhen raised her hand to push him away.
Zhouzhou stumbled back a few steps, and the things in his hands also fell to the ground.
"Zhouzhou!" Ye Wanwan felt a shock in her heart and quickly crouched down by Zhouzhou’s side, pulling him into her arms for protection.
"Zhenzhen!" Zhao Yingling reprimanded angrily, "Haven’t I told you not to lose your temper for no reason?"
Caught off guard by the shout, Zhao Zhenzhen stood frozen in place with her eyes reddening and tears quickly sliding down from her eyes.
"Apologize to your brother!" Zhao Yingling said coldly.
Zhao Zhenzhen, her head bowed, while suppressing her crying voice, said in a milky voice, "I’m sorry, brother."
The atmosphere in the living room suddenly turned somewhat awkward, but since Zhouzhou still looked perplexed, Ye Wanwan let out a slight sigh of relief.
"I’m sorry about this," Zhao Yingling said, somewhat embarrassingly. "She’s been feeling unwell since this morning, and then she was agitated all the way here, so her temper is a bit off right now."
Ye Wanwan looked up at Zhao Zhenzhen, who was pursing her lips, holding back tears, then looked at Zhao Yingling, and ultimately refrained from saying anything further.
Zhouzhou, seemingly oblivious to everyone’s emotions around him, stepped forward once again and handed Zhao Zhenzhen the small bag.
Zhao Yingling nudged Zhao Zhenzhen, "Your brother brought you a gift, take the gift and say ’thank you’ to your brother."
Zhao Zhenzhen then took the bag and whispered a soft "thank you."
Whether Zhouzhou heard it or not was unclear, but he went on to give the remaining gifts to the other two children, as if completing the task Ye Wanwan had entrusted to him.
Wu Yaxi and Xiao Yu both thanked Zhouzhou, each louder than the last; perhaps because of the thanks, Zhouzhou bashfully ran back to Ye Wanwan’s side.
