"Zhang Lei, I’m telling you, if you dare to poach someone from our department again, I won’t let you off!" Tang Xiaorou stood with her hands on her hips, yelling like a shrew.
Zhang Lei still had an innocent look on his face, "What do you mean I’m poaching? They think live streaming has a future and want to develop in that direction. If people want to come, am I supposed to tell them to roll away?"
Tang Xiaorou was furious, "I can’t be bothered to talk to you! Just keep away from my people!"
Having said that, Tang Xiaorou turned around and grabbed Ye Wanwan’s wrist, pulling her into the planning department’s office area.
Once inside, Tang Xiaorou still looked infuriated, but seeing that Ye Wanwan was still there, she managed to restrain some of her anger.
Tang Xiaorou pushed up her glasses, looking at Ye Wanwan with a forced smile, "Sorry about that, I scared you just now, it’s become a kind of reflex for me."
After a few seconds, Tang Xiaorou resignedly said, "Even though you said yesterday that you’re not interested in hosting, if you change your mind later, just let me know."
"I get it, being a hostess definitely pays more than what you’re making now." Although she felt like punching Zhang Lei to vent her frustration, she had to admit he had a point.
Ye Wanwan was bemused, thinking not only was there something wrong with Galaxy Entertainment’s system but also wondering how many times they must’ve been poached to be so resigned.
"Your place is here, and as for your work, I’ll tell you what needs to be done. If you have nothing to do, just find ways to pass the time," Tang Xiaorou said, pointing to an empty desk.
"Thank you, Director Tang," Ye Wanwan said.
"You’re several years younger than me, just call me Xiaorou Sister," Tang Xiaorou felt embarrassed when others called her "Director Tang."
Muffled voices could be heard from outside, and soon three more people came in.
Two men and a woman, all young and of similar age, greeted Tang Xiaorou as soon as they saw her and then turned their curious eyes to Ye Wanwan.
Tang Xiaorou introduced, "This is Ye Wanwan, my new assistant. We will all be colleagues from now on, get to know each other."
The girl came over to Ye Wanwan first, smiling cutely, "Hello, my name is Yu Qiqi, nice to meet you."
The other two guys also hurried over to introduce themselves to Ye Wanwan.
After a brief chat, everyone prepared to start work, and Ye Wanwan also settled into her new workstation.
Looking at her empty desk and then at her colleagues’ desks, Ye Wanwan decided she would buy some decorations to spruce it up over the weekend.
