After waiting a few more minutes, Assistant Chen came out of the hotel, greeted the people by the car, and after he got into the vehicle, the driver finally drove off.
"Mr. Shen, here’s the freshly made spicy crab." Assistant Chen turned around and handed a bag of just-packed spicy crab to the back seat.
Shen Yi took it without concern for the oil possibly staining the car and simply placed the bag on the seat.
Meanwhile, back in the hotel’s private room.
Shen Yi’s departure had relaxed many people—after all, not everyone was like Shen Yi, acting properly in his presence.
It was unavoidable, given Jinghong’s power and Shen Yi’s status, but with him now gone, there was no longer a need to keep up appearances.
Plus, with the alcohol kicking in, conversations inevitably became more casual.
One of the men laughed, "Mr. Shen and Mrs. Shen really have a good relationship, still so close after so many years."

At the mention of "true love," everyone at the table couldn’t help but laugh—people like them found it hard to believe in that kind of stuff.

The noise in the private room was already irritating Fang Xian enough; now, hearing all this chatter, his frustration grew even more unbearable.
Fang Xian was patient, holding it in until the dinner party finally ended.
By the time Shen Yi got home, Zhouzhou had already been put to sleep by Ye Wanwan.
Ye Wanwan, in the bedroom, saw a flash of white light outside the window and guessed it was Shen Yi returning. Glancing at Zhouzhou asleep on the bed, she carefully left the bedroom and quickly headed downstairs.
When she reached the bottom, Shen Yi was just coming in. Seeing the bag in Shen Yi’s hand, Ye Wanwan’s face lit up with a smile.
Shen Yi, perhaps bored while still at the business gathering, had messaged Ye Wanwan, casually mentioning what he’d eaten and inadvertently stirred up Ye Wanwan’s cravings.
But at this late hour, although the household staff hadn’t yet retired for the night, it wasn’t ideal to send them out for groceries, so Shen Yi was asked to bring a portion back with him instead.

"Hmph!" Ye Wanwan snorted and then took the bag from Shen Yi’s hands.
The two of them sat down in the dining room, Ye Wanwan donning gloves to eat the spicy crab, with Shen Yi keeping her company.
The servants brought over some sobering soup, which Shen Yi drank a bit of before turning to Ye Wanwan, who was enjoying her meal, "Keep Saturday night free, I’ll take you to a play."
