Today, no one called Zhouzhou to get up; he woke up groggily on his own and then sat in a daze for quite a while, remembering that he had school to attend.
In the past few days, it had always been his dad who called him to get up, and once he was up, he had to change clothes, have breakfast, and then go to kindergarten.
Shen Yi, holding Zhouzhou, came into the bedroom, "Didn’t Teacher Li say yesterday that you don’t need to go to kindergarten today and tomorrow? You’ll go back on Monday, right?"
Zhouzhou paused for a moment and then continued, "But I want to go to kindergarten."
He knew he needed to study hard now; the sooner he finished his studies, the sooner he could start making money. In the future, he could have more money to support his little sister.
"But the school has a rule that Saturday and Sunday are holidays. You can go back on Monday," Shen Yi didn’t know what Zhouzhou was really thinking at the moment; he just assumed Zhouzhou found kindergarten very interesting and therefore wanted to attend.
"Zhouzhou is up so early today, too?" Ye Wanwan had already sat up in bed and tidied her pajamas.
Shen Yi placed Zhouzhou on the bed, then said to Ye Wanwan, "He’s still thinking about going to kindergarten."
Ye Wanwan couldn’t help but smile and then embraced Zhouzhou, explaining to him once again that kindergarten was on a break and that there would also be holidays during festivals.
Watching mother and son on the bed, Shen Yi went to the washroom to freshen up.
Luckily, Shen Yi didn’t have to go to the office today. In the afternoon, he took Zhouzhou out to play, and in the evening they went directly to the Shen Family’s old house for dinner.
Time passed day by day, and after a while, Zhouzhou stopped mentioning his little sister, and Ye Wanwan gradually put that matter out of her mind.
The hot summer had passed, and autumn seemed to just make a fleeting appearance; Beijing quickly grew cold.
Ye Wanwan still insisted on taking Zhouzhou to kindergarten every day. After all, she wasn’t busy with work, and even if she got up early to take Zhouzhou to kindergarten, she could return home afterward and continue to rest.

Because taking Zhouzhou involved riding in Shen Yi’s car, and after dropping off Zhouzhou, Shen Yi needed to go to the office. The driver would have to take Shen Yi first, and Ye Wanwan had to go with them to Jinghong, waiting for the driver to take her back afterward.
Zhouzhou himself had already agreed that dad could take him in the morning, and mom could pick him up after school, but it was Ye Wanwan herself who didn’t agree.
Ye Wanwan yawned and ignored Shen Yi, quickly tying her hair up.
Shen Yi knew she wouldn’t listen to him, so he didn’t continue to dwell on the issue.
"I’m going to check on Zhouzhou," Shen Yi said as he was already heading out.
Zhouzhou was already three and a half years old and could do many things by himself. Shen Yi just needed to check how well he was getting ready.
Once the family of three was ready and had taken Zhouzhou to kindergarten, and after getting back into the car, Ye Wanwan felt sleepy.
But she still insisted on first taking Shen Yi to his office and did not head back to the bedroom to rest until she returned.
This time, she slept in until nearly eleven o’clock in the morning before waking up.
