"What could this be?" Ye Wanwan was in a good mood, muttering to herself as she took the box from the butler’s hands.

Ye Wanwan used scissors to cut through the tape on the cardboard box and saw a pink gift box tied with a pink ribbon upon opening it.

Ye Wanwan frowned slightly as she took out the gift box. There was no brand logo on it; it didn’t look like it was from a brand.

Ye Wanwan clutched at Shen Yi’s clothes, lifted her head, and with teary eyes said to him, "I want Taozhi."
"Alright, I’ll go get him for you," Shen Yi agreed without hesitation.
But as he stood up, he realized Ye Wanwan was still clutching at his clothes and hadn’t let go. After they locked eyes again, she released her grip.
"Wait for me, I’ll be back soon," Shen Yi said as he touched her head and then turned to leave the bedroom.
Ye Wanwan sat on the bed motionless, her breathing heavily through her blocked nose, the tears no longer falling.
But she was still very scared; the bloody lump in the gift box was a cat with the same coloring as Taozhi.
However, reason prevailed, and she knew that it wasn’t Taozhi. Taozhi was even smaller, and Ye Wanwan felt a chill, her arms involuntarily wrapping around herself.
Her mind raced, trying to think who could have sent it to her?
